To allow for units to go through my structure I've changed its pathing footprint from a 2X2 to the 2X2 (Underground) footprint. The units I want can pass through the structure now, but so can all other units. Even when the structure is set to collide with ground units and the units I want to collide with the structure are ground movers they still can walk through.
I'm trying to make a type of unit be able to walk through structures but I haven't been successful yet. I've tried to change settings in the movement tab of the data editor but still no luck.
Is there a way I can make units be able to clip through units of the structure tab? If not with an effect then at least in any other way?
I'm trying to get a certain type of building (that is owned by a player) to be visible to all players regardless of if they are allied or hostile. This building is build able in any location and thus I can't use regions to do this.
I'm trying to make a weapon that only damages the life of a unit and not its shield. If possible I'd also like a weapon that would ignore an energy shield (energy bar that soaks damage) but its not needed badly. I don't know where to start with making this weapon.
The Starcraft 2 editor update a few weeks ago changed a few things but one of things I still haven't figured out is how to see my points and regions. I've tried searching the internet and went through the editor's options for an hour and I couldn't find anything. The regions and points are set to "show in editor" and I've tried this on new maps and other people's maps.
I have made a couple of custom buildings before, I'm not too good at them but I'm learning. There is this one custom building I made that completes instantly for some reason. The time to completion should be 60 seconds.
I have included pictures below of the problem I'm having.
Sorry I have been very busy the last few days. I tried your solution tonight and I created 2 weapons like you said and that part works well. I have decided to have 2 weapons, one for attacking the armored tag and one for attacking everything but the armored tag. However the problem I have is with applying the upgrade to all current and to be built units.
I would prefer to have units have the armored attacking weapon, but have it grayed out and disabled. By acquiring level 1 of an upgrade the unit will then have the weapon enabled. I have tried looking around the editor in the unit, weapon, and upgrade sections and haven't found the enable/disable weapon tag. I was sure that I saw a tag like this a long time ago. Even if that tag may not exist would doing this be possible?
Sorry I didn't really do a good job of saying what I meant.
I am trying to make it so that a player's units cannot attack any certain buildings of another player (lets say those with a armored tag or those with a certain buff if that would be easier) unless the attacking player has/doesn't have a upgrade.

I took a look at footprints just now for the first time and I'm not sure how I would allow only certain units to walk through footprints.
If I change the mover to colossus or burrow how would I control what it can or cannot walk through?
And I do need an actual building since I want some units to collide with that certain building.

Setting the unit fog visibility field to visible worked perfectly. Thank you.

Thank you, this fixed the problem.

No it doesn't have a progress ability. How would I link the building to a progress ability?

Thanks. It seems so stupidly simple but I spent so much time looking for an answer. Probably should've looked into hotkeys.
