Dinosaurs existed for roughly 170 million years compared to 4 billion years of Earth collecting space particles. The change in Earth's mass since then is so insignificant and negligible. The change in Earth's mass is even more insignificant and negligible when compared to effects from atmosphere, available food, temperature, biology, etc. You should also look into the circulatory systems of birds, and insects.
On a side note, you should also check out the tallest trees in the world.
When you talk about "expanding Earth", you should really be looking at the formation of Earth (long before life arose); that's when Earth had significant change in mass.
Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics are just cool.
If you want to make fun of my avatar and argue, go make another thread and I'll confront you there, but not here. This thread is for posting informative links to topics related to science.
Social engineering is to engineering as astrology is to astronomy.
You're making quite a big assumption that humanity deserves the infinite/undivided attention of the galaxy/universe. If people aren't willing to assist endangered species who share common evolutionary ancestors with us, who live with us on our own planet, (or even members of our own species) why would you expect free handouts from aliens? Rhetorical question: Do you spend your time actively looking for worms, ants, beetles, etc and try to help them? So, just stop trying to hijack the thread. If you want to argue against science, go make a thread specifically for arguing. This thread is for posting informative links to topics related to science.
You are the one who is trying to turn this into a religious thread. This thread specifically is asking for interesting stuff about science. You should keep the discussion to science without turning this into a silly argument where one isn't needed nor wanted.
Who would have foreseen that research on studying the eyes of flies could be applied to recovering fingerprints from crime scenes? Certainly not the naysayers who said fly research was waste of money and time.
So like... my pastor never once condoned such actions.... so where do you get off saying this to me?
Your religious texts; the history of your religion(s); the contemporary crimes committed by your religious institutions, affiliates, and associates; the lack of motivation and lack of action by aforementioned religious associates toward solving famine, war, throughout the world; statistics, etc. One recent example: http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504083_162-57544532-504083/rebekah-gay-update-pastor-who-police-say-confessed-to-killing-mich-mom-was-engaged-to-victims-mother-report-says/
I am not surprised at the religious community's naivety and negligence regarding Mr. White's criminal "pastor" (i.e. past or) propensity for murdering women. But then again, your religion and its religious texts do hold so little regard for women... As Richard (Dick is a fitting nickname) Mourdock would say, "[g]od intended it." And Todd Adkin would say it's legitimate.
Medical companies have created a "pew" for that condition:
If you think it's useless to have debates on a forum, then you shouldn't participate. (e.g. Presuming that you are able to vote, you probably wouldn't vote because you probably think voting is useless.)
P.S. Did anyone watch the recent South Park episode, "A Scause for Applause"?

On a different topic, did anyone listen to Fresh Air on NPR the other day? It talked a bit about genetics, psychology, and neuroscience.
