    Figure 4 Final version?

I'm thinking about carving the beetle wings from the body of the overlord or spire.

It does not have any animations or bones. It uses the default mutalisk, swarm guardian, and larva textures, but you might have to change the texture path. It needs to be converted to .m3 format. You can do what ever you want with it.

    Available for download: http://www.sc2mapster.com/assets/devourer3dsmaxmodel/files/1-devourer3dsmax-model/

P.S. If you animate it and convert it to .m3 format, please share? :D

    Figure 2 Frankenzerg devourer textured.

http://i386.photobucket.com/albums/oo305/FDFederation/Devourer-Mutalisk-1.jpg Figure 3 Comparison with mutalisk.

I'm not sure how to proceed with the joints between the head and mutalisk torso and between the torso and larva segment. The bones were annoying me, so I had to delete them. :(

P.S. I found out that instead of exporting from Cutscene Editor, you have to use the Archive Browser in the Model and Texture tabs of the Data Module. Access the Archive Browser by double clicking the Art: Model or texture file field.

Actually, science, more specifically, neuroscience, has already shown that many criminals are linked to mental illness. Mental illness can be caused by birth defect, or external factors, such as malnutrition and diseases. As science progresses, maybe we would eventually discover that all criminal activity is indeed linked to mental illness.

On a side note, if you plot all the people in the world in relation to crime/good/bad behavior, you would find the plot similar to a Gaussian because there are far more possible combinations of good-bad than possible combinations of good-good or bad-bad.

Awesome. I hope the units will be present in the final game, so that someone could export them for use in Wings of Liberty mods. :D

    Quote from Gradius12: Go

If somebody gives me proof that the christian version of God and the afterlife exists, I'd abandon everything I'm doing now and start living like a monk. So my question to you is...what's stopping you from doing that? If your rewards in an infinite paradise are proportional to your behavior in your short finite lifetime on this rock, then you should be on your knees praying & glorifying god every waking moment. If you're absolutely certain that God exists, you're wasting your time typing on this forum, making maps, and having any pretensions of living a fulfilling and successful life. You have to pick whether Christianity is of infinite importance, or zero importance.

Actually, you can pay someone to pray for you or have an automaton pray for you 24/7, just like what happened in the Dark Ages, Middle Ages. You can also bribe yourself into heaven. It's true because the church said so....hundreds of years ago...and since the church is divinely inspired by god....what ever the church said is true.

Religious fervency might have been the reason why the Dark Ages lasted so long since religious monks tore apart Archimedes' and other's scientific and mathematical books and used the paper to write religions nonsense. If the monks had studied and disseminated Archimedes' book, the Renaissance might have occurred far earlier, and so, we really might have colonized the moon and mars already.

If religion is abolished it's because all individuals decide individually not to belong to any religious organization and to not blindly follow religious doctrine/dogma as undeniable, ultimate truths. Since more and more people are getting better education (albeit slowly), more and more people reject religious doctrine/dogma. Just like how people learned about neuroscience and now understand that "demonic possession" is a misnomer for mental illness (i.e. schizophrenia); or how people now know that diseases are caused by bacteria instead of ghosts, curses, demons (i.e. Bubonic Plague); or how people now know that stars are not gods, angels, and etc.

If god was real, there would be evidence. Religious people tend to be too complacent and naive (possibly the result of mental illness, low IQ, some type of brain deficiency, traumatic experience, etc) to believe that the words of neolithic cultures are pure evidence of god's existence. The Flying Spaghetti Monster has the same probability of existing and not existing as god because the only "evidence" to support both are people's words. You can replace all the references to deities with the Flying Spaghetti Monster and you could not disprove the new versions as untrue.

You can't say that religious people are "more decent" than atheists (shown by current events and historical records of religiously motivated violence, crime, etc.; the Crusades, witchhunts, pedophile priests, examples that have already been said in previous posts, but you were too lazy to read them or you lacked the ability to remember them) and you can't say that atheists are "more decent" than religious people (Soviet Union, "communist" China) because decency, morality, ethics are independent of religion (again the point has already been made in previous posts, but you were too lazy to go read them or you lacked the ability to remember).

If anyone can make any model resembling the devourer, I'll be more than happy to use it. Figure 1 is my opinion of what a reimagined Starcraft 2 devourer could look like using Starcraft 2 zerg parts (Frankenstein devourer).

Oh really? Didn't that one bald guy claim the devourer wasn't "cool enough" to make the cut for Starcraft 2?

    @Zarxiel93: Go

I thought the wings looked more like beetle wings. I'm asking the community for help because I don't know how to model organic stuff and I don't even know how to make decent textures. Also, I had trouble getting the actual .m3 files, so I used 3D Ripper DX to get the a 3D screenshot of a game with the larva, swarm guardian, and mutalisk on screen.

    Figure 1 Example of devourer.

I'm looking for a devourer model that resembles the picture above. The head (gray wireframe) is from the swarm guardian, the torso (purple wireframe) is from a regular mutalisk, and the rest of the body (pink wireframe) are made from the body segments of the larva. I would like the model to be textured with color scheme similar to the larva. Without animation is acceptable, if the file can be opened in FragMotion (.x, .3ds, etc); I can attempt to add animation.

I don't need to do that anymore, but out of curiosity, is that an included function? I was not able to find it when I tried to define a variable. Do I have to include a certain .mod file?
