posted a message on Will Google DeepMind can be applied in Arcade maps?

Hey guys, first of it's very long time to come to Mapster, and I'm the creator of GetHypered, joint 6th place in Rock the Cabinet 2015.

Since I'm so busy in these days, recently I heard that Google's deep-learning API will be applied to SC2's melee, but I'm wondering whether that can be used&modified to Arcade maps or not.

I'm really focused about it because in two reasons. First of the API will be provided in Cplusplus, and that leads me to the thought that Arcade creators can implement their own algorithms or add a new features etc. Second, is, sounds little selfish, in Versus games like my arcade(GetHypered) the Versus AI mode is quite important. If DeepMind can be used in Arcade, If it can be, I'm willing to implement Versus AI mode, to satisfy single-players who still loves my game.

    Anyone knows about it? Thanks.

Hey guys, eventually the game reached to a top 10 of Rock the Cabinet! Hope you guys like mine! Here're some thoughts that I want to patch after the contest is over:

    1. As you expected, there're so many Item/Hero slots that needs to be updated! The next patch will fill at least 1 weapon for every hero, and maybe 2 heroes will come!
    2. I found that attack restricts moving seems bit uncomfortable, so I applied Split-body animations(Which allows playing both Attack(or Dance, Spell and so much more) and Walk! You will find that you can attack while you're moving. See this as reference: Embed Removed: https://www.youtube.com/v/Nx0KijvBZRk?fs=1
    3. A brand-new mode - the AI Challenge! This contains defenses/raids and so much things that I can imagine! This might be reduce the entry barrier.

If you enjoyed my project, please vote! Always greatly appreciate for playing GetHypered! Placing this game on the top 5 will accelerate the patch speed!

Glad to hear it killduk, that is exactly why I do this. To let authors see the sorts of issues new players run into through a different lens. How much time I've spent with the editor helps, as I actually know how to resolve a lot of the issues I see, hopefully that has been helpful to others and not just a know it all sounding thing.

300 MB to 100 MB is pretty huge, I'm curious, do you use a single map file for it all, or a map file then a mod file for all the assets? Map file + mod file for assets lets you make minor tweaks and updates without forcing people to download the full 100 MB. Is something to consider if you haven't. Glad you were able to squash a few glitches/bugs from what you saw :)

I use separated mods for better download time for every game updates. Maybe you know, single file causes download whole files for every update, even it is about just a fix for small glitch.

And thanks again, I added the health-kit system just before the Contest submission is end. I think that'll be good for other players who want to survive their character :)

Wow, thanks for your patience! Recently I found that the mod I published have a lot of file size, and that literally 'eats' a users' time wants to play. With so much efforts, I managed to reduce the whole mod files' size from about 300mb to 100mb! Maybe I might not think about the size problem unless someone notice me about that. Thanks for your highlighting!

Frankly, I wanted to players do not leave and keep continue playing. The treasure box gives you a lot of gold will be open(you can see it in the final result UI) when you fill a reward gauge by continue playing without quitting. This being so reduced the gold reward each time you finished a game, but it seems like the normal reward is quite few. I'll increase it later.

By your video comments, I found a number of glitches/ bugs, and that blows my mind with appreciate to you!

    Hello Bounty,

Since I started creating arcade games after playing an awesome game named Smashcraft, I tried to find ALL of versus arcades in existance. Luckliy I saw your fantastic works, and start making my own game(Your works are not available in my region!). There might be some similarities(WASD movements, Camera moving etc), and if you got unpleasant, I'm truly sorry about that.

GetHypered! starts with a simple thinking: "What about Hearthstone's Heroes/Cards pop out to 3D, and fight with their abilities/characteristics they have in Hearthstone?" So in the beginning of development, I extracted some famous characters, you know, Garrosh, Anduin, Alexstrasza and so on. As you know, they exist in your works too.

Hope that'll be an appropriate answer. Thanks for replying!

    Hey, thanks for trying!

The video in Youtube is what I created since 2011 to 2014. It's called 'Axis of Chaos', and yes, it's Impossible-Bosses-tic boss fight game, and the players can travel a number of planets where each of characteristic bosses exist. But I had to gave up because It might be a participant of the last year of Rock the Cabinet, but I failed to manage a schedule. Also, there're 2 top-5 boss fight arcades already, so I had no reasons for resuming it.

But here, as a result, I've created this Fantastic arcade!

There're one FFA mode and two Team mode, and players can choose whatever they want to play with. They can even make their own experiences with a number of weapons, hats, and accessory combinations.

posted a message on Patch 3.0 Map-Maker Troubleshooter Thread

Pitfall : When you are attempting to upload an assets(especially the images) into your map, the editor pops up an error like this :

"[10/9/2015 9:40:52 PM] Warning: Unable to load image from 'C:\Users\Pinky\AppData\Local\Temp\StarCraftIITemp\Import/Musics for GetHypered!.SC2Mod\Assets\Textures\GetHypered\curse of naxxramas.png' (e_errorIdNotFound)"

and shows a weird red/blue square.

Solution : Save your map/mod. It'll show correctly.

My arcade does. What I attached models into WoW model doesn't worked well. At first creation that follows the parent's attach point, but stayed at the initial point except that when parent walks. Seems like this bug is occured if the parent model was extracted by WoW Model Viewer...

posted a message on Framerate depends on camera rotation?

    @FunkyUserName: Go

But you can see, that there's no big differences between high and low screenshots, It seems they(high and low screenshots) render objects almost equally. Those difference is just the camera roll angle.
