    i have not played this game but here is what i think would be a good idea... make it player vs player and not VS AI. reason being an AI can not adapt to new and changing tactics and normaly run the same tactic over and over so it can be figured out and exploited. players can change thier tactics depending on whats going on.

    as for game play, i would recommend being able to build a base on the english side and build up your landing fleet, same for german side. it would make it more interesting. dont know how you would make it so you would travel by boat though. maybe make it so air units have to be over the water~ just a thought. as for the german side tower defences and traps for landing troops would be great. keep the tech level not to advanced being its only WW2 and not WW3-4-5-6-7-8-9, lol. just thought would offer my 2cents. :D

    @Deadzergling: It might be nice to introduce elements that don't typically exist

    sure there can be some higher abilities that would transend the normal or standard abilities. it would have to come at a cost like you get a set amount of points to use in the game and to use the abilities would require the points. more advanced the ability the more points type of thing. an idea that i just thought of is what is a god if he can not heal his minions... so make an ablity that heals all the units.. just a thought. can have several things like that, also an enrage or something to help your AI attack...

    notice everything is to 'help' your AI win not to control them. dam 'free will' thing, lol.

    so basicly if you build on a hill that is round and your building needs something flat, boost clift level evens out the ground so you can place the building on the un-even ground.

    sure can change the name to OVER LORD or Demi God or King or ECT..... so you dont feel all 'intimidated'... lol.

    dont really care if its alot of work, i only do this on my free time anyways. i can understand if your playing this type of game and you try to do something and nothing happens everyone is going to say BS and leave. that just means when you create the game it has to be more interactive and less to chance. a thought is make it sorta like achievments for your AI to do and work towards. like common tactic of rush lings and stuff like that. sorta like programming your AI while you see it. it would have a set base line for a build so even if you do nothing it will carry on doing basic build and mining but what makes it better is what you get them to do with out actually doing it yourself. :D

    go to the ability in the data editor, scroll down and find the model of that ability. change it to whatever you want, it can even come out to look like a yamoto blast if ya want. if you want to speed up the anamation that is also on there along the top. example:

    High Templar - Psi Storm
    -Models
    ---High Templar Psi Storm Model

    then find "Field    : Model    Assets\Effects\Protoss\PsiStorm\PsiStorm.m3"

    this is what it looks like in game. double click on that and change it to ANYTHING. as to speed it up here is how you do that.

    Field    High Templar Psi Storm Model
    : Animation Speed    1.0000

    Change it to higher the number the faster it anamates it... .1 goes VERY slow and 100 goes VERY fast.. just play with that number to see how fast you want it. Side note: its fun seeing a zealot die at 25% speed rate. :P

    This is just an idea but would like feed back as to what you thinnk about it before i get started IF i get started on it.... was thinking about making a game where you play as a GOD and the decisions you make affect a computer AI that your in charge of. you do not have direct control of units but can 'influence' thier tactics in how they play. in the end it would be a WAR type game but what would make it different is that you would not control the units in the war but rather influence the tide of war in your favor. good or bad idea. opinions?

    i have noticed a few games on b.net that have a game mode set to map name or whatever they wrote on a line. my question is: how can you change the mode text?

    EG:(name) probes vs zealot... (catagory) survival.... (mode) 1 vs all...

    think the name is given being its the name of your map, can or how do you change the catagory or mode?

    im the currently the operator/updater/modifier/ ect. on DS being turtle was killed by an over grown croc. want to know how the income is arranged on that game? or you got it already?

    that does work but its uneven income such as it dont all occure at 1 time. but if your not looking to do it like ever 1 second then its great. just copy how the automated refinery works and your good to go.
