posted a message on Offering Video Feedback For Any Who Want

Thank you for playing the map. Greatly appreciated. As for the lag aspect of the game - it runs better when your graphics settings are on "low" instead of what you where running. The I need to change Covert ops to Ghost Academy on that tool tip. Also need to add more info on the Command center to tell people that the Blimp is your detector unit. The defenses on a epic game are incredibly strong indeed but for the sheer fact its on epic. If you go with Basic you only get a couple bunkers and Photon cannons. Those 3 planetary fortresses are the reason you can forget getting units in the beginning of a epic game and focus on income (macro). While on Insane/Expert you have to build 1st till you get the Celestial Lock because the defenses are so weak it could cost you the game.

    Once again- Thanks. :)

My map can be found here: battlenet:://starcraft/map/1/280805
The map is a Tug-of-War style. Best played with equal teams 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. It has to be player Vs player. You can play with unequal teams but its harder to get a grasp on the game that way because you go against every player in the duration of the match.
There is a mode next to your name that is default to "Faster". you can keep this the same and the game will progress at 150% Melee game speed. You can change this to "Normal" that is the normal sc2 game speed and "Fastest" that runs the game at 200% of Melee game speed.
If you just click "Create Game" You can set how long the match is in the difficulty settings. Those are Infinite, Epic, Normal, Expert, Insane. Each of those has a set number of rounds the game will go till a Final Battle at the end of all the rounds. Infinite is the only one with no End Battle.  Epic is by default and set to 80 rounds.
If you go with the Default settings on the map (meaning you don't change anything from the lobby) the game will go about 30 minutes or you can ramp it up to "Fastest" and cut it down to ~22 minutes.
Also a helpful tip is that if you go for a long game like epic, it is best to increase your income ASAP by building a Vespene Geyser building (Refinery and such) and can be placed anywhere in your base as it does not require a geyser to be placed on.

Other than that. Have fun. There are tons of units to make and choose from. All your game knowledge from a normal melee game can be applied to this game as well. EG: Baneling bust and the like.

I don't care if it is public or otherwise.

Thank you, have a nice day.

Your very kind. You also proved my point. This FEEDBACK is not going to happen here. I provided tons of information as you suggested before this and still -nothing-. so It's not going to work. up above 550 now and still nothing about the "game" itself. It's sorta disappointing in this site to have a "FEEDBACK" forum to only get no feedback even after +500 views on it. ~oh well~

The terran is originally from Earth, that's a given, and then went to the Koprulu Sector. Is it ever listed as where the Protoss or Zerg 'home' location outside the Sector is?

I have 519 views on this thread alone and there has been -0- "feedback" from anyone that visits this forum/page/thread...

The description on this forum is:

Need feedback on your project or help testing your map? Post here!

But no feedback comes from anyone. I have seen other people make threads with well over 600 views and no feedback for them as well.

So- i'm going to leave it as simple as i can and if anyone wants to provide FEEDBACK in this forum feel free do to so and i will get back to you on it. Otherwise - this forum for "Feedback" is a waste of time.

But i will probably get a reply to this - and this isn't even about my map and about how this forum operates. Ironic~

It is stated that sc2 is in the Koprulu sector.

What exactly is the modern day equivalent to the "koprulu sector"

I can automatically assume that it is not a 'solar system' being it has several planets.
So i guess it would have to be "Galaxy" or "Universe" - or a sub section of those two.

Not really sure though how the Sc2 space is divided up.

Edit: Example is: we live on planet Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy.

posted a message on Where do i create this thread. (lol)

I want to make a map/arcade but i want peoples thoughts in on the creation process or give thoughts as to what put in the game. I have a good idea on a start point in all but the more people i can get to give ideas the better. I can ask the 'how to' questions in the Data/Trigger forums if i run into any problems like that. Just don't know where to make a Thread for game design or game play ideas.

    Thanks.

posted a message on Just a name...(Conquest Map)

I have been thinking about making a "Arcade" map that would be similar to a "Risk" game. Take over Regions or Castles or Cities and what not. But one thing i am wondering is... What about the name to grab peoples attentions. One i did come up with (sorta inspired as well) was "Shadow of Chaos" but that might sound like an -after apocalypse- type of game instead of a World War type game.

Idea about game play would be - there are 'castles or cities' around the map in SET locations. you can invade each location and it would go to a 'battle area' for the two players in the fight. The fight field will be modified by the "defending hero" of the location. EG: Jim raynor is the hero so he will make the battlefield to benefit his fight style. Winner of the fight will clearly take control of the location. take all the locations and you win. simple enough. I would make 1 hero unit for each Unit in the game. imagine a marine hero defending against a swarm host hero- hot dam, lol. anyways.

It all starts with the name though. What is your suggestions other than what i have already said. Thanks for any feedback.
