Using the M3 Importer/Exporter provided through SC2Mapster, I'm now trying to export my new model but it's saying I need to select the skin, this is the actual message I'm receiving:
EDIT: Just to be sure I'm doing everything right, this is what I've done so far:
1. Imported both the Marauder and Shield models
2. Placed the shield on the marauder's arm
3. Selected both objects and grouped them
4. Attempted export
So I added what you had in your map WildPickles and it's working great. However, there's one little bug that randomly occurs. If you tell the marine to move somewhere, the marine will sometimes keep going after reaching its destination
Say, for example, that I want every marine to have a zergling as a "pet". Is there anyway I can create a zergling with the marine when the marine is done being trained? Also, how would I make the zergling keep following the marine?
So last night, as I was falling asleep (when I do most of my thinking), I thought of making a "Lite" version of my current map. Basically I thought it'd be a great idea to incorporate similar game play seen in Nexus Wars.
So as the match starts, each player will earn a certain amount of minerals and vespene gas that will be used towards certain units. Also, considering when I made this map, I mentally compared it to Arathi Basin from World of Warcraft, I figured it'd be great to allow players to choose class-based units to add a level of strategy to the mix. So for example a hunter could be a marine and a zergling, a rogue could be a zealot, a priest could be a medic and so forth.
Next, I thought of making islands spawn points, if captured by the team. Also, I figured it'd be a good idea if players had a unit cap of 10 or so.
I dunno, I'm going to be asking friends for opinions and whatnot. If anyone here would like to speak their mind on what could possibly make this idea better, please feel free to share :)
As some of you have seen around these forums, I have created a map called "Verdant Fray". I have spent countless hours on it to create an exciting and fun experience for StarCraft 2 players. I have also spent a lot of time on polishing to create a seamless experience that's free of bugs and has an extremely user-friendly feel and look. Despite the points I have made, I feel as if my map has been more or less overlooked. I don't mean to seem self-centered, I'm just asking people to give it a chance. All I wanted to do was create a map that is fun and everyone will love.

Hmm, I never thought about that. I wouldn't know where to start either :P. Anyone care to elaborate? :)

Is this correct?

I'm trying to give zerglings the speed boost without having to research them. Is this possible?

That's amazing, thanks WildPickles! (and everyone else who helped :D )

Hmm, how do I give the marine a custom value?
0
Wow that's a solid setup, thanks I'll definitely give that a shot :)

I've always wondered about posting your map files for people to download. What's the sole purpose of that?

Hey everyone,
As some of you have seen around these forums, I have created a map called "Verdant Fray". I have spent countless hours on it to create an exciting and fun experience for StarCraft 2 players. I have also spent a lot of time on polishing to create a seamless experience that's free of bugs and has an extremely user-friendly feel and look. Full details of this map can be viewed here.
This map is available both on NA and EU servers. In fact, I'd be willing to part-take if anyone was interested in firing up a match :)

UPDATE: This map is now available on EU Servers
