using triggers and the dark protoss upgrade i was able to get dark protoss units. however i found out that some units dont benefit from this upgrade and dont turn dark. they are (at least the ones i need) mothership, dark templar, observer, pheonix, stone zealot, collosus, scout, obelisk, and monolith. i was wondering if any1 could make the dark protoss models for these units (it cant be that hard, can it? just change all the golden stuff to black and blue to green). thx!!!

WOW!!! as soon as i tested and built a sentry on ur map i forgot about the whole turret thing and became fascinated at what you did. anyways, as far as i checked, it looked like the two buildings (mine and your sentry) were basically the same (excluding the weapon and model/actor, of course) but mine just didnt work. it could be that my building (which is a fleet beacon, btw) does not turn at all and attacks while completely stationary (at least it should) and yours attacks while turning and facing the enemy. im pretty sure that all attacking structures (missile turret, spore crawler, photon cannon) rotate in a way (the photon cannon's floating ball turns towards the enemy when it shoots) and that is the reason why my building doesn't attack, since my building doesn't move at all. i think im gonna have a more deeper look into the mothership since i think it is the only thing that attacks without rotating.

P.S. what did you mean by not using a turret? if you mean by adding a turret on the weapon or the building, i tried both but didnt work.

P.P.S. that sentry getting bigger as it warped in was sooooooo cool. if you could, could you tell me briefly on how to do it? (its really only a side comment, nothing you HAVE to do)

so far the only way i can find to make buildings attack is by checking 'turnable' in the building's flags. however if i do that the building will turn out rotated in different degrees when placed. any1 know how to allow buildings attack without flagging them as 'turnable'?

P.S. also,a brief, simple, beginner-friendly tutorial on how to change the launch site of an attack/missile would be great

thx for the comment and tips. i still want to keep the fog around the maze to make it kinda look like it is somwhere high up, so i added some jungle just around the maze. i also added and fixed up some stuff. oh and also the viking skydoodad or whatever, i coudnt find it :/, but im pretty sure u were talking about a skybox which added (which i learned to do through moza's terraining FAQ) :D

PS. crap. forgot to add textures to the cliffs :(

alright, here it is. but people who look at my map and think "this one sucks so bad >:( ", plz note that i am quite new to sc2 and map editing and this is one of my first maps. (i think the third legit map) i know it sucks compared to all the others, but im gonna try to do every single WTE from now on and try to get as good as any other pro map editor!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D

PS. on the last screenshot you can try to solve the maze if you want :) there actually is only 1 way of making it through btw

PPS. im not a good photographer either, so deal with the screenshots :)

errr.... pretty new to sc2 and map editing, so i decided to give this challenge a try. im halfway done but now i dont know how to take the screenshot of my map in-game.(i dont want to take the screenshot in the editor because the cliffs for some reason are messed up :/ ) also, i remember there is a way to go into gameplay view on the editor itself, so i want to try that, but i forgot how to do so. i know it is somthing like ctrl+shift+???.

When you give a building an attack how do you change where the attack's missile/whatever is launched from?
