Traysent, I was wondering: How many of you guys will be testing the maps? Some maps, like mine, require at least 4 ppl to be any fun. But then again, 6 Blizz employees playing arcade for two weeks straight? xD
So a friend of mine produced a piece of music (3 min) specifically for my rock the cabinet map. Can I just use this piece in my map? Or will Blizz just take it down, thinking it is pirated? This whole licensing stuff is a huge pain in the ass and makes everything fun so annoying :(
Hover is a fast-paced sports themed map. Up to 8 players in two teams try score the most goals in
2 x 6 minutes. Each team has up to three field players, who skate on a hoverboard and are fast and mobile, as well as a slower goal keeper with four powerful abilites.
How to Play
There is a tutorial available! Check out the map links below.
Anyone who has played Zealot Hockey before, will feel familiar with the controls quickly. You move by right-clicking. If you move close to the ball, you will pick it up automatically. Pressing space steals the ball from nearby opponents. Lastly, the ball can be thrown by pressing the left mouse button, where the duration the button has been pressed down determines the power of the throw.
Furthermore, every player has four abilities (by default Q,W,E,R). These are explained in the map description or in the tutorial.
Gameplay
The game is rather fast. Furthermore, the 3D movement of the ball (and players) add an interesting new element, which is somewhat tricky to master. Check out the gameplay video below!
Looks alright. The "or" in your first trigger doesn't serve any purpose. And you need to think about things like what happens if nobody has voted by 15 sec (There won't be an attacker). Might be a problem, might not be, depending on what you want to do.
You now have a function that you can call whenever you need a random player from a player group. You said you already managed to get the player group of players who chose attacker, now you just have to use this function to get a random player from it.
Loop through all the players and check for each of them if they chose attacker. If yes, add them to another (local) player group. Than choose a random player from this group (Player A from local player group) where A is a random integer between 1 and number of players in local player group. This also covers the first case.

As far as I know, it's not possible.

Would you mind giving a short summary on what LoaP was like? I think I did play it, but yeah, really cannot remember.
edit: Looking at screenshots, I definitely did not play it

Duh, no it wasn't, now it is. Thanks for reminding me!

I uploaded a public version a while ago. The game is called Hover:

For a normal game, I recommend 6 players. I also implemented a single-player tutorial which I would like some feedback on :)
