Well, since nobody seems to have a solution, try to recreate the broken learn ability by copying a working one and just changing the learned ability if you haven't tried that yet.
Apart from that, if you haven't, recheck the settings in the 'cooldown' area on - ability: info+ carefully and watch out for differences between the working and the not working abilities.
Because I want the unit to shoot two projectiles of the same type, one out of each of its barrels (per attack), I am only using one effect which is of type 'launch missile'. In the events there is an effect ...LaunchMussilie.Start => At Caster -> Create. If I copy that, nothing changes.
I tried copying the launch missile effect and adding ...LaunchMussilie2.Start => At Caster -> Create to the events. Didn't work.
You could also use supply as your main resource and changd its name and icon to minerals. You could then use triggers to have the real minerals work as supply and give a cap.
CONTRA: would not display supply cap anymore
PRO: This would display mineral cap as you want it

i have a unit, e.g viking(assault mode) which has two barrels. i added a weapon that shoots a projectile from one barrel. works just fine. my aim was to have the weapon shoot two projectiles at once, one from each barrel. i added a second 'launch missile' via 'set' effect. now two projectiles are launched but they launch in the center of my unit.
how do i get them to launch from the left/right barrel of the attacking unit?
What happened to that link? Seems as if the thread not open anymore. Is there any way to attach two units to each other with both of them having a life bar/being destructible?
A friend of mine got pretty successful with buying and reselling stuff on ebay. Requires some Initial cash and can be quite risky. But i guess if you can get a hang on how things work out with people buying and selling you could give it a try
problem is the interact ability on the structure. it prevents non owners from seeing the cargo size bar as well as the cargo slots of the structure which determine what kind of units are inside (the small green thingy in the interface section). thus i cant unload cargo via click on the units green pic.
all in all i am able to load but not to unload my unit

enabling me to load my units into a neutral player's structure.
works fine. unit is in range of structure. click load. unit is being loaded. i removed requirements and validators for the load ability.
problem now is that can't seem to get the unload working. unload all requires
a target point instead of unloading instantly. if i choose a point,
the structure will not unload the unit although i changed ability range aswell as max unload range
to 6. still not working. (the unload ability button stays brightly marked,
showing that the ability is executed but it wont finish).
im not familiar with items. i know there is at least one tutorial on item stuff though.
im trying to make it works so that i may load my unit into a neutral structure.
preferably id like to have the load ability work like the standard bunker load except, well the structures owner is neutral player.
after trying to copy several load abilities and applying the to the structure is just resigned on this seemingly simple aim.
i am not able to have 1. the unit being loaded on right click and 2. having the unit being unloaded instantly by clicking on unload

You want the bahavior which disables the abilities to be ON when unit has energy returns false

what is the advantage in doing a wave AI this way instead of setting up attack waves in the trigger editor?

Hmm, check wether the target on the dmg effect is UNIT.
If nothing else works check out bifuu's aura tutorial and try remaking the ability from scratch with it's help. Explains the search effect pretty well http://forums.sc2mapster.com/resources/tutorials/1582-video-data-aura-abilities/
