    I played and loved the from game in SC1. It was one of my favorites.

    I am an expert-triggerer, however my time is currently being spent developing a map with a team.

    If someone or multiple people start developing this map then I'd love to help out the trigger editor, if he needs any. Unfortunately, I couldn't engage in this project full-time.

    Just thought I'd add in my experience with them so far. While working on my own maps, I've both received and given help and advice to my fellow team members. And they're great people, too. We work on team maps as well as individual maps btw.

    You don't have to be religious to be against that. If you believe nothing special happens when a baby starts breathing (2 minutes before birth to 2 minutes after) then baby is just as human as anyone else, and killing it is then murder.

    @Owner1098: Go I'm currently making a Dungeons and Dragons map. I've used basic scripting to get almost all of the Cortex commands implemented. I didn't use the Cortex Engine because I wanted a unique command system, not just a copy/pasted one from Cortex. I've implemented panels to accomplish all the commands through dialogs as well. Because simply having a command system with DMs and heroes doesn't make a DnD map, I'm going to wait until I've added shops/abilities so the heroes don't have to keep bugging the DMs about upgrades, etc.. Also, I plan on having forgable abilities in-game (DMs will be able to design the hero's abilities!), as well as in-game terrain building (with triggers), but that would have to wait until an update after release.

    Anyway, it should be ready within a few days and if you'd like to be a tester, send me a PM.

    Silly me, no global variables will work with a definition in a library since libraries are meant to be used across maps and not all maps are going to have the same variables. Which explains why using global variables in definitions not in the library folder would work.

    I'm trying to make my own action definitions to make my life easier with making a map but it appears that I can't use global variables that are indexed in the custom action definitions. Each time I try to save it, it throws a syntax error at me with the line of my variable highlighted. Anyone know if there's a way around this?

    To retrieve the weapon damage and set the effect damage, you would use the functions Catalog Field Value Set and Calalog Field Value Get

    For the action function Catalog Field Value Set, put "Effect" (its in the presets) in for catalog. "Snipe" in for entry. Then, for the field "" put 2 arithmetic maths, then for the one of the fields inside the inner paranthesi use the function Catalog Field Value Get Set the catalog field to Effect. Set entry to weapon 1 of <put your unit here>. Put "Amount" in for field value. Then put the owner of the unit you're using for Player.

    Its complicated, so if you ask nicely I'll do the trigger for you.

    I'm trying to convert a string value to a real value, and it works fine except for the number keeps rounding to the nearest whole number. Its a huge problem for my map :(

    I've attached a map to my profile. Its unfinished and only the framework of a map but it embodies my style and the level of customization I like to incorporate into my maps.

    If you try my map out, please note:

    -the abilities are trigger-made

    -the custom UI should work for all resolutions but I haven't checked the latest changes

    -its target based; you pick your target then use an ability, also pressing tab cycles through the targets

    I'd like to join Team Genesis. I'm an advanced trigger editor and have general experience over the other areas as well. I'm okay with doing whatever I'm told to but I greatly prefer participating in the creation of original maps or classic maps that haven't been made adequately for SC2 yet. I'm also okay with helping people out, and I wouldn't mind if there's less experienced people in the team. I have no finished maps, only projects. I'll provide more info if you're interested thus far.
