    I'm late to the party - but I wanted to say AMAZING work! I'm currently working on a campaign and will be standing on the shoulders of what you and others have done here on this site. I very much appreciate it and can't wait to get what I have in my head in the editor, and out to the public... Because of yours and others skills, I can tell the stories with the game mechanics that I want, having a very polished map without having to add a footnote of "Pretend all of the Marines you see are Knights". ;)

    Also to note - the model looks fine when viewing it from the import window. The tiger model is there, with the texture, and it's animated. Thanks!

    I am a project manager by day, hobbyist creative person by night - I've written a story and am bringing it to life through the Galaxy Editor. It's slow going having to watch a tutorial for every new thing I want to do, but it's coming together!

    This is the first "major" modding plunge I've taken, and I'm impressed with the level of quality one can create with free tools. I don't have a bias to what was before, so I think this is pretty fantastic...

    Looks cool! I'm looking forward to playing it for research ;)

    I'm working on my own campaign (isn't everyone?!) with voice acting as well - but I was under the impression that there was a 10mb limit to maps on the Arcade? Has this changed? If not - how did you get the sound files + map below that? I was settled to only be able to release on SC2Mapster instead of the Arcade...

    Got it - thanks guys. It was "Unit Training Progress" as the event, and then left the unit as "Any Unit". (Just realized Ahli634, this is prob what you meant, thank you!)

    Ah ok - I was thinking I was supposed to be as specific as possible in the events.. Thanks for the tips.

    I tried the "Unit is created" which gave me this: Unit - Any Unit creates a unit with ability Any or behavior No Game Link

    with the same condition - still didn't work though.

    Am I using the right condition?

    (Triggering progress unit type) == Prototype Warhound

    Sorry - that's what I tried last to see if it worked before I came here. As I previously mentioned, I also tried

    Unit - (Triggering Progress Unit) construction progress is Completed

    as the Event and that didn't work either. What choice would be better? One of those two look to be the best choice from my options in the Function source as long as I set the condition properly.

    (I also noticed the formatting was messed up in my original post - maybe there was a miscommunication with that, sorry!)

    Hi all - so I've done well with creating my first campaign map without asking questions so far - but I'm stuck on something I can't move forward without fixing first...

    It's a simple "mark objective as completed when a specific unit type is created" trigger that doesn't seem to be working. I have created other objectives that are all working properly - even a "mark an objective as completed when an upgrade is finished researching". So I'm stumped as to why this isn't working when the "upgrade research completed" trigger is basically the same...

    This is what I have:

    Events:

    Unit - (Triggering unit) construction progress is Completed

    Conditions:

    (Triggering progress unit type) == Prototype Warhound

    Actions

    Transmission... etc

    I tried the event as (Triggering Progress Unit) first, but that didn't work either.

    Basically this trigger isn't firing as-is. None of the actions begin.

    I assume it's something simple that I'm overlooking - I just can't see it without the experience...

    Thanks for any help you can provide!

    I'm an avid reader here and appreciate all the tutorials and walkthroughs! There's so much good info, I've created more than half of this map with custom units, over 2 dozen triggers, cinematics, etc with no previous knowledge of the galaxy editor! Thank you all for having this all in 1 location for newcomers like me!

    Hi all,

    New here to the forums/community. Been loving all the work you guys have done - learned a lot from the tutorials and been inspired by a lot of the maps! Thank you all for your hard work with this hobby! (I'll be announcing my first map of a multi-map campaign hopefully in the coming weeks/months!)

    So I was thinking - has anyone created Raiding/instance type maps yet? I was thinking it could be for 1 or 3 players: you can choose to play by yourself and control all 3 units, or 3 people can join together and each take a role: 1 tank, 1 healer, 1 damage dealer. Each "class" has 3 abilities they can use to help the group survive and progress.

    Basically it would be like the WoW instances and raids, where you have multiple enemies and big boss fights every so often. Depending on how far someone wanted to take it, they could have experience, loot, talent selection, etc.

    I'm imagining this in the standard RTS view and control scheme as well, not in 3rd person.

    So has anyone already created anything like this? If not, I might slate it as my next project when I finish my current one in a year or 2 ;)
