    HA!!! So after taking a long break from this editing stuff. I think I found my first big problem with the playable map area changing. Now when the pipes break the map changes like its supposed too. So Maybe there is hope for my map after all. Now just gotta make sure the map changes when the correct Day hits and Maybe I can get this map back on track. xD!!!!!

    @Terhonator: Go

    Well I've been able to pick up a lot of things. I was going over other maps like the ones in the campaign and some of those look so complicated. I would end up weeding a lot of stuff out of a single trigger and still get the same effect the trigger blizzard used. But some stuff seems to break on me. I kinda ended up frying my brain cause of it. So far the one main problem was getting the map to reveal the next area of the map. It worked on a test map but then it broke. It doesn't seem to do that now. There are so many factors going on in the map that there just may be something I'm missing or not doing. The map will either reveal the next area on Day 4. Or it will reveal the area just before the first flood is complete. The other problems will be fixed later once I can get that map revealing to work properly again. I just could not figure out what is wrong. There's also a lot of stuff that can probably be simplified just by using a function instead. But by the time I learned how functions worked I was mostly done with the initial building. Maybe doing that will actually fix somethings. But for now I have to take a bit of a break from it cause my brain was fried and unable to learn new stuff. What actually scares me though is that once I get it working I still gotta go back and set it up for player 2. But I may go back and redesign the whole map for now so that it's a single player map first. Might actually give me more space for things as well.

    Hey everyone. I'm not sure if this thread even goes here or else where. Hopefully Mods can move it to the appropriate place. This is my first time here and first map. I've been working on this thing for about 2 weeks now and my brain is fried. As more got added into the map the more problems I ran into. So I'm at a breaking point. The map worked basically like this...

    Waves of zerg and infested attack you through a day changing and weather changing scenario (heavy rain acts like night time allowing infested to attack). After day two you are supposed to begin guarding water pipes from the zerg. If they break then the water rises and floods the area. Any units in the water drown. As the water rises the map is supposed to open to another layer so you can escape. Then you get attacked from new waves and have to protect another set of water pipes. If those break then the map goes to next layer and you have to clear out the landing zone and hold it for Evac to arrive while nydus worms spawn and send out units. If the pipes are not broken then the map continues to open up more as the days go by. Day 4 brings next layer. And Day 8 opens last layer. While all this is going on you also have to fight a zerg enemy that builds spires that cause the area to be shrouded in fog which blocks out the sun allowing the infested to attack even during the day.

    Originally I wanted it to be a duo kinda map. I'm not good at map designing so its not very amazing looking map. It's pretty dry. So I basically need help with that. Some one who is good at map designing. The other thing missing from the map is objectives and bonus objectives. But Since the map is kinda broken I never put them in. Another thing is I'm not good how to determine balancing for player and enemy. So I need someone that is good with that. And lastly the revealing playable map area seems to have broken on me someplace down the line. I got it to work on a test map but for someone reason i just cant get it to work again. I'm sure there are some other problems that don't work but while testing the map I just couldn't get to them. Let alone survive long enough to get to them. The enemy waves are more overpowering then I had realized but I'm also not a skilled player. Speaking of which harvesting resources seems to go awfully slow. Not sure why. Or if its always been like that but I never noticed till now. And the waves that are supposed to break the water pipes don't seem to break the pipes. They just kinda stop all of a sudden.

    Majority of the data for the map is there. I still need a great deal of help. Or someone that can take over the map. I'd hate for this map to just vanish and never be completed. I thought it was a pretty good map concept and put a lot of work into it. But this project is just waaaaay over my head and skill level. As I said this is my first map and first attempt to play with this editor. I've never made a map till now. So grab the map and check it out. Might wanna go into the trigger data and turn off the map reveal section. Theres a folder that says Map Update. That should help at least see the map play out.

    I got one I'm having trouble finding a tutorial for. The concept is basically this. You have a pipe doodad with a pipe end cap doodad on it. You target that doodad and have it break. Waterfall doodad activates to simulate water shooting out. The water pours out into say a trench. Over a period of time the water travels down the trench and fills it up as it goes along. And anything in the water's path gets destroyed or killed or even pushed down the stream. And once the trench is full from then on. Any unit to step into it gets carried off by the stream.
