Alright so as many of you can see, Baneling Scramble is currently the 4th most played custom game on the Arcade Beta. However, it only has 2 stars (down from the 4 it had at alpha). According to the reviews, the reason it was given so few stars was because it was over too quickly and didn't have much if any divergent gameplay. That being said, I was wondering if anyone would like to do a collaboration on an arcade style game? Such as the good ol' Uther Party where players will earn points by winning custom games. I could make dozens of these fun-for-a-few-minutes style games that we could throw together into one big Mario Party (maybe even have a board? who knows). I have yet to get a summer job, so right now (after finals), I have a crapton of time and need to work on my programming skills. What better place to do it than Starcraft? If anyone is interested please let me know and we can get started brainstorming :D
In case you didn't get invited to the Starcraft Arcade Beta thingymabobber, here's what it says
Add a Game Icon Image
o The icon image is the first thing players see. It’s a great opportunity to make a first impression on potential players - check out existing app-stores for inspiration.
o Game Icon Images are added through the StarCraft II Editor.
So if someone is able to design an icon for Baneling Scramble that would be super duper! Since you're the artist I trust your judgement better than my own on what it looks like so go nuts ;D
This sounds interesting... how would I go about learning how to make games for mobile phones or browsers with no programming experience? Basically learn java?
