    Okay thanks for the info. Tbh, I'm not sure I follow you all the way. I have next to no experience with modeling. So you basically overrode decal textures by naming your DDS files with the same name and importing them. How did you go about placing those decals on the ground? Did you do that in the terrain editor or can it be done via triggers during runtime? I was thinking that placing a Splat actor on the ground would be the best way to go and just have model variations on the splat that you could send Actor Messages to...or is that the wrong way of thinking about it? Thanks again!

    Hi I'm looking for a modeler who can do one or all of the following:

    (1) Show me how I can take an imported DDS image and paste it directly onto the "ground" (terrain). Ideally I would have a splat model that I could swap textures on, including text during runtime. I'm guessing only part of that, if any of it, is possible.

    (2) If (1) is not possible, show me how I can create a custom splat model using my custom DDS image and import it.

    (3) If (2) is not possible for me (cuz of lack of skill, software, etc), actually create some custom models for me using some images I send to you.

    Imagine being able to paste team names and player names onto the terrain. If anyone is interested, please respond here or PM me. Your work will ultimately be seen by tens of thousands of people.

    There are probably many ways to do this, and probably several good ones. Without knowing specifics of Desert Strike, I'd suggest you'll need to know:

    (1) When are units spawned? If perioidic (based on game clock), use a Trigger that launches periodically. If it's by some other method, you'll need to explicitly call the spawning code from some other method that is controlling the temporal flow of your game. I'd recommend an Action called "Spawn Units for Player" that takes player as a parameter. Then you can call this via various methods - keeps things flexible.

    (2) You'll need to figure out how many structures each player has and what types they are. I'd recommend using Pick Each Unit in Unit Group and then use All Units in Region Matching Condition. Give the function Entire Map as the region and the player owner. Then in your loop, use Unit Type to figure out the type and implement your spawn logic based on the information you gather using that method.

    Tug of War panel has been added. Click on PEEPMODE logo at the top of the screen. NA, EU, and SEA have all been updated with newest version.

    Several maps have been added, including 2v2 maps.

    • UI Tweaks: Observer controls stay visible during Cinematic Mode
    • Text tags of structure names appear during construction (turn off in Options)

    UPDATE!

    • Added "Name Panel" during matches (click to toggle Cinematic Mode; disable in Options)
    • Added buttons to cash/keep your Chips after each match
    • Aesthetic improvements (fonts, alignments)
    • Minor bug fixes
    • Performance improvements
    • Replays now save correctly on both PC and Mac

    Map pool restored on NA and EU. SEA should follow shortly.

    I'm having the same problem...someone has to have some ideas about why replays are not saving...could it have to do with special camera movements or something?? Like when the user input is locked?

    The Store has been added which includes ability to purchase Avatars, Pets, and Turf Markers. Buy items and customize your base with Pet and Marker placement. No effect on game mechanics, ability to turn off by vote.

    NOTE: Patch 1.3.5 temporarily broke in-game chat. That has been corrected and the map pool has been shrunk to Shattered Temple and Shakuras Plateau until a new round of features can be published in a week or so.

    • Select UI style by selecting race in the lobby
    • Select player color in the lobby
    • Observers can follow player cams (see "Observe Everyone" pulldown during match)
    • Cooperative unit control is a votable Option
    • Volume of game sounds stay consistent when camera is zoomed
    • Enforcement of diagonal start points for 1v1 games on Starparty V
