    I asked about this in the data section and they pointed me to the triggers section:

    Basically I'm trying to make an ability that when casted on an enemy unit create a link between the units so that if the caster is killed by any unit it kills the targeted unit. I was informed that this can only be accomplished through triggers.

    Any help is appreciated :) ty

    Technically everything made in the map editor legally belongs to Blizzard and not the individual, so it really doesn't matter if your map is stolen because it never belonged to you in the first place it belonged to Blizzard. That's why I don't know why Blizzard make you feel like you own your map by giving you the lock map option in the first place? They know that you don't own anything, so ownership doesn't really matter in the greater scheme of things. What matter is making better maps which sadly most the maps on the most popular list are really crappy. I wish no one could lock maps and Blizzard would make a duplicate rule instead the forbid a map being published that was too similar to another this would solve problems and promote creativity. :)

    I'm trying to make an ability using the already existing Soul Channel ability that will do no initial damage but will kill the effected enemy unit if that unit kills the caster while the ability is in effect. I'm not really sure how to do this though and either need a link to a tutorial or need some pretty up front explaining.

    You need to change the Map Dependencies,

    It's under the "File" menu and called "Dependencies"

    A pop up will come up check all the boxes and click ok...

    All the models will be available now :)

    I can't find very much information on this but I was wondering if it is possible to link separately created maps into one map. Then have a map selection screen and depending on the map chosen it loading that map. I know it's pretty far out there but I'm amazed at what the editor can do.

    I would like to add a tracer behind a predator (When I say tracer I'm describing the shadows of the unit that are created when the High Templar and the Void Seeker move) My question is: Is it possible to add one of these to a unit like the predator? And how is the tracer even programmed is it actually part of the model?

    Ok so I have a hero unit that I'm building for a Sotis map and for his ulta I'm basing it off of the Mothership's Planet Cracker ability. And this is what I need it to do damage wise...

    1-3 unit range from epicenter = Damage 180 per second
    3-5 unit range from epicenter = Damage 140 per second
    5-7 unit range from epicenter = Damage 100 per second
    7-10 unit range from epicenter = Damage 80 per second

    So basically I need the area between two ranges to influence how much damage is being taken, unfortunately I can't find anywhere to enter such information. Is anyone have any idea how to make this work?
