Is correct however it should be noted that if the game has a lot of unit it can cause performance issues.
a work around could be to set the death time to 3 seconds, revive the unit on death, add it to bank, and then destroy the unit. then using the bank to revive units into the future. you can even sort the units into groups via bank and call individuals if needed. with little performance issues.
an array of 6 goes 0-5 making 6 slots. Common mistake is to forget about the 0 slot. The issue fixed itself when u went to an array of 7 because 0-6 are now available.
not utilizing slot 0 is considered sloppy but considering the scale and potential scale it doesn't matter.
It allows for the insertion of galaxy code. its mostly useless since if you seem to be making the in the GUI. However the system allows the possibility if you so desired.
You guys are over thinking this, this was spontaneous. In about a year someone if they remember remake the thread and see if it takes traction again. may not even be funny the second time around.

i think theirs a legacy import but i doubt starforge will import properly since starforge maps have no real cliff edges.
