    I just looked at the maps category, and there's a lot of new projects and remakes, but not a lot of continued ones. Well, we have to give some time for mappers to develop their skills and story.

    Everyone is focusing on a multiplayer missions (like TDs, DOTAs, and other team vs team games), but i think that campaigns are not dead. I'm working on a co-op mission for multiplayer, and a campaign :D It is now at it's first stages of evolution though. But there are some mappers who are working on a campaign, like Debe2233, "The Brood", you can check it out here.

    Well, I know that it's a bad excuse for me, but I just don't play on Bnet, coz of lack of time and massive lags of my comp. :] So I can give you terrain feedback (ex. your (3) Up and at them) or overall gameplay, but sadly not in-game play experience. I made that post just to let you know that i cared and read through it.
    If you want some help with terraining or triggering which I want to learn some day, I will gladly help. And I think Stargate galaxies still have to be done.

    Great to see another map of yours Debe :D

    First of all, Attachment1 is the lava texture pic.
    Attachments 2-4 have the player view of Debe's terrain.
    5-8 are wierdass camera shots of his terrain that I made, because I thought they look awesome.
    9-11 are terrain which I made for example. I can't say did I get swampy effect or not, more of a stable ground part.

    What I want to point out with my part of terrain is more texture play. Use Tarsonis grass to light up areas, where you want the player to look at, or get some 'false light' effect, or make the player believe, that the whole planet is covered with clouds, but sun shines through them at that spot with Tar-Grass. Place grass and Ulaan rock together, or Grunge, Tarsonis grass and Ulaan Rock and mix 'em up. You can use even the Korhal Concrete texture to light up Aiur Grunge texture.
    The big green crystals was looking like leaves to me, so i added some trees in them. And for some galaxyeditorfailedme reason I can't see Typhon rocky dirt at all D:

    On another note I made a little puddle right in front of the ramp which gave me an idea: to use shore animations from water to make little swampie puddles. It's just an idea, and does not look astonishing but what do you guys think about it?

    You need more rocks around. :]
    Well, it's good now, but I can't say anything without closer look. The only thing that I can help you now - you should use more other textures apart from grass and dirt.
    Camera controls:
    Zoom: Scroll wheel
    Move around: Right mouse button/arrow buttons
    Move up/down: left Alt + right mouse button
    Change camera angle: Ctrl + right mouse button
    Zoom2: Shift + right mouse button
    From Garden of Aiur site
    And herea re more advanced commands, which you don't have to bother now:Mapster wiki about /view/camera
    Also, when you are taking screenshots, get game view on(V button switches between editor and game view).

    Hi all, during the downtime I have found those, they're terrain objects.(attachment)
    Does anyone have them with the textures? If not, could someone texture them?
    1st one is named zz TEST robot, 2nd is zz TEST cleft, 3rd is zz TEST hybrid lab. There is also TEST zerg pen(textured) and TEST layover(no model). All of them are from Castanar, with the exception of layover (Braxis).

    I like how you composed doodads with walls of the stations, like space door and destroyed bridge under it. Tho, I would use more terrain objects like dead (power?) cores, holes. I spotted that you placed one right above pic1, but i didn't noticed it right at the start because there was too many debris in it . So, let player to see space throught it. Also, you used smooth metal texture on platfoms - use more cracked ones, especially on the edges of the holes. I changed the lighting to Typhon - TTychus04 and modified it a bit, so it will give rusty-like feeling, and added CharAshWeather.
    I liked the rock parts of your map. There's some good rocks there.
    And i'm not a proTerrainer but i hope I was useful :]

    I don't want to ruin your day, but in Starcraft II different poeple can have the same name. There is no name reservation, so theoritically I could play on ladder with user that have the same name as I do.
