making a Legion TD remake, and im trying to figure out which would be the best way to put in this trigger.
I have a builder that builds a non-movable version of the unit, once the round starts, the building is replaced by the actual unit (2 units are created for every 1 unit) The new units move around and can die, etc.
Once the round ends, i'd like for building unit to pop back up where it was originally built.
I've been playing around with points but i cant really figure it out.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Stexen.
Would you be interested in making a loading screen for my map? Im doing a remake of legion TD that WILL be better than Squadron TD. If interested, send me a pm. I can have you do a test run of my map to ensure you that it will be a solid map.
I have text tags list other players minerals, food count, etc.
problem is, i cant figure out how to store a created text tag to an interger. I need this so when it refreshes it doesn't just create new text tag over the old one.
Also, is there a way to put an icon in a text tag? i wanted to put the minerals image in one of them.
Im working on my TD and i need the spawned waves to attack move to destination. I've understood exactly which command to look for, seeing as it was very self explanitory, (issue order) problem is, i dont see ANYTHING that says move or attack in the ability command fields... yes i've looked at through the forums.
"The basic concept to move a unit is Unit - Order (Triggering unit) to ( Move targeting (Center of TargetRegion)) (Replace Existing Orders)"
The MOVE command is NOT there, problem with my world editor??? i've literally looked at every box. the only move command that is listed is HOLD POSITION, and in the attack field, its completely empty, weird...
Someone mind explaining to me how i actually "run the action 'Create Circle Hero Selection"'
i assumed it was done through map initialization and run trigger, but i see no such trigger
*EDIT*
Ok so turns out i was on the right track. It took me several hours to figure this out! for you newbs out there, you have to make a new trigger in the library folder, make the event "Map initialization" (how how ever you chose to start it), then create a new action for each of the 3 scripts.
2 additional resources, technology and experience. Experience is used along with minerals to upgrade units and Hero. Technology is used for upgrades, like upgrading boss, weapon/armor upgrades, upgrading abilities.
flying units will now actually be flying units, the way its suppose to be, like in LTD
Eco will be different from both, LTD and STD. It won't be as OP as it is in STD and there will be new worker upgrade options. All worker upgrade options will now require Technology along with Minerals.
Tons more races.
Greater re-play value. Unlocking color schemes, hero skins, perks, and more from achievements.
A controllable hero that every player can make. This hero levels up the same as other units. A melee hero only as not to make it too easy, and it will be bound to an invisible unit with the carrier system, as to being unable to move to other player spawns and stealing kills.
More ideas will come to me as i go on making my map.
For those who know and love squadron td (remake of legion td from wc3) you've probably noticed that it was removed from b.net. I've been wanting to remake my version of Legion TD for a while now and have finally decided to do so as of two days ago. I spent literally the ENTIRE day yesterday making the terrain layout, and adding in parts of the score board. But theres still so much left to do, and im not looking forward on doing this alone.
Basically i'm looking for people who know and love Legion/Squadron TD and would be excited to help with this project. I have big exceptions for this map and I plan on making it better then the originals.
A list of whats to be done and already done:
Terrain - DONE by me
Leaderboard - started by me
Custom Armor/Weapons - started by me
2 additional custom resources, Experience and Technology - DONE by me
Unit Values
Enemy Values
Summon Values
Hero (melee hero which can be controlled and is upgraded with Experience resource, in no way is this hero meant to be OP)
Selection screen very much like Squadron TD, where players pick their builder, edit their custom builder, and pick play modes
achievement system, which unlock perks.
Kick ass Loading screen
A cool map name
Still so much more that i can't think of currently. Post here if you're interested. Again, im looking for guys who are very creative and experience, but most of all, excited to be part of creating this map.

@Etravex: Go
You mind posting a picture of how you got this to work?
I need a text tag over nexus to list resources but i have yet to figure out a way to remove the old test tag when it updates making multiple tags.

WIll look like this.
Events > Map initialization
Actions > set hero select at point
Actions > add unit hero to hero selection pool
Actions > create hero selection
i think it has to be in that order.
