That's honestly how I feel, I don't care if you believe me, I don't care if the world believes me. I'm not being a troll either, I just plane, hate with a burning passion, the stupid tablet and I am never going to buy one. My argument IS about the size because think about it. A desktop is more powerful than a tablet, see? A tablet is more powerful than an average computer was 5 years ago sure, I won't disagree. Look at it like this though. A desktop made in 2011 is more powerful than a laptop made in 2011. Of course a tablet made in 2014 will be more powerful than a desktop made in 2011, but what about a desktop made in 2014? It will be more powerful than a tablet made in 2014. So basically, desktop > laptop > tablet for power IF MADE IN THE SAME YEAR. Therefore, with my logic a laptop made in 2014 would be more powerful than a tablet made in 2014 but if they don't make the laptop anymore... Sorry I was getting a bit carried away there, but I am passionate about these sort of things. I feel like I was just settling into the world of laptops when the tablet comes along and ruins it.

Some people can't wait for gas prices to go down, they buy the most fuel efficient car they can find and usually it comes with solid performance too. However, you won't be getting as much space to put things like camping gear or kids.

the people that buy SUVS expect them to be heavier and cost more gas. It comes with the territory. Yet they are sometimes still willing to pay for the extra fuel if it makes them feel safer or if they need the extra room for say, a family. My needs are the SUV, your needs are the Prius. If they stop making SUVS I'll be screwed, see?

Well what can they do then? video chat? email? internet? Need for Speed? notepad? I have no need/want/use for ANY of that. All I want is a machine that can work hard and play hard in the same thing. Many people feel like I do, I'm sure of it. You know what? I'm done talking to you if that's how you think the world should work. Keep your godly piece of plastic if that's all you feel you need. Me on the other hand, it IS working fine and I believe that a tablet will NEVER be as powerful as a laptop because a laptop is larger, has more room for your hands, feels better when you use it, can do everything of of those can do and more, etc etc, has more room for better cooling = better processors, graphics cards, screen resolutions and such. I really hope there will be a laptop/tablet fusion if anything. I wouldn't mind something closer to a tablet as long as it has actual buttons too.

I can't even properly use my MP3 player because the touch screen doesn't work for me. How am I supposed to use something like that?

Sure check your email on it and play your Need For Speed (I remembered an ad with that in it). It can't play Crysis 2 or Metro 2033 or Modern Warefare 3 COMFORTABLY. You need actual buttons and a screen larger than what you put in your hands. What if you want to play something like THAT when you aren't around a desktop? You would need an external keyboard or controller but with such a small thing it's better to use a laptop, that's all I'm saying. Actually I still LIKE the weight of a laptop MORE than one of those tablets because It can't just fall out of my pocket or bag without noticing and it feels more durable. The only people I have seen use tablets are: Apple nerds, old people, busy business types, people who study the advancement of tech, no 17 year old, camp out and wait for the store to open, costume wearing, devoted, diehard gamers. Once a tablet can have a 240 gig SSD, a $250 Nvidia level graphics, microphone capability, and the ability to type without using the screen, I'd consider it. Once ALL of these are in the same piece of equipment then it won't be so bad. I guess I'm just angry that people don't like what was working fine for the last 10 years all of a sudden. Plus all of the ads for tablets/smartphones have been either family related or full of office idiots. Have you once noticed a cool person using one? I haven't (unless you qualify that is). There is a guy that my mom sometimes talks to that uses like 7 of these things, does reviews for them, and says how great they are. They aren't the be-all-end-all holy grail of gaming, the Alienware/ASUS/MSI/whatever. If Alienware comes out with a tablet WITH ACTUAL BUTTONS that might be interesting though ;)

How the f are you content to just use one of those scrawny little things? They can't do anything! Hell, I can't even read on those tiny little screens. I'm not being ignorant I just see no practical use for them for the gaming world. You can't honestly tell me that your happy not playing SC2 when your on break from class. I just won't believe that. Sorry but any REAL gamer wouldn't be caught dead with one of those. Not trying to be mean or anything but I had a frustrating day on top of learning that the laptop is gone forever because of people that are happy with playing tetris during their lunch break.

Plus game companies can design their own systems too since they are really the market for it anyway. A tablet is more for general purpose use.

Ok cool so would something like this work? Of course I would prefer a gameplay shot but that looks pretty good as well.

Until you can play Crysis 2 on an Ipad I don't want one. I don't see how a tablet is good for ANYONE actually. They are still just bulky, ugly, too muntifunctional machines. I mean what is it? Is it a notepad? An internet connection? Sometimes even a phone? Make up your minds!

Yeah well for my needs/wants a laptop like the M14x and a decent phone with GPS would be better, that's all I'm saying.

I still hate tablets and smartphones. This hybrid technology bull that can't do either one the way it's supposed to. I mean, I would struggle selecting doodads, placing them, working with triggers, etc, on an 8 inch screen. Touch screens don't work well for me at all.

how do you place a tree or a tiny rock or mess with textures on a TABLET! It's like trying to play Starcraft 2 on a Play Station Portable, it's a nice thought, but it won't work well. I think people are too reliant on them already. Soon they will use them to schedule when they go to the bathroom...

When my project is all said and done, I could use a soundtrack for it. Click the link for my team at the bottom of my post and go to the forums section to get an idea. Think of a depressing yet action filled theme for a rubble city. Here is a screnshot if your interested. Now this isn't a request because I'll PM you later if I have time, but think about it as something to do please ;)

it's still in development. I suspect they are biding their time with this computer while they get ready to release it by some holiday season, summer, etc. There is a really good chance that it will be made for sale.

Also, many of the games have been released or revealed on special Star Wars days. The blue-ray trilogy release just so happens to be on September 16! If they don't tell us anything then, I don't know what I'll do.

Edit: More proof! LucasArts has made some kind of agreement with the inventor of the unreal 3 engine and guess what engine spark unlimited is using? The unreal 3 engine!

    http://www.sparkunlimited.com/jobs_currentjobs.html

"We are in production on an unannounced high-profile, popular game sequel for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC release."

"The Senior Combat Designer will be responsible for collaborating on developing game design systems, AI behaviors, player mechanics, and game balancing, tuning and timing for a third-person action shooter on current-gen consoles."

"As an experienced senior character artist, you will work together with the character and animation groups to create the best looking creature, human and non-organic character models to life."

non-organic = robots = droids? Could be ghosts/energy beings but it clearly says sci-fi

So what other game has been released before that has robots, is really popular, and it's third person.

O also, the company's wiki isn't long but read the last line.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spark_Unlimited

"Spark unlimited is currently developing their fourth game, a 3rd Person Action-Adventure based on a high profile Sci-Fi IP, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC, according to recent job postings at LinkedIn. The game will be powered by Unreal Engine 3. Many people speculate it is Star Wars: Battlefront 3"
