    I have an upgrade that increase the amount of resources taken from a mineral stack per trip. I would like for either the workers size to increase or for the model of the scv to change. When I go to the actor section of the upgrades, the scale is there, but it doesn't change the size. The upgrade itself works, but not the scale. Also, is there a way to change the model in the data editor, or does it have to be through triggers? Thanks!

    posted a message on How to make actor repeat?

    I have an ability that (by using a behavior, and a trigger) switches the owner of a unit. Though it now works, I found that it looks like it needs some actor for it. I found the mothership vortex model to be a good fit, however, the ability has a 30 second prepare time. (It's reasonable in game) How do I (if there's an easy way) make the vortex stay and/or repeat for 30 seconds? Thanks!

    posted a message on SCV failure to gather??

    I have an ability that puts a behavior on a command center that causes it to become yours. However, the scv's won't use it as a return cargo point. You can manually click it, and it works. However, they don't do it by themselves. Suggestions?

    posted a message on Siege Breaker Tank Mode Actor Issue

    All I did was I made the Siege Breaker's life, energy, attack ,and I made it a hero. But now, when it sieges, it's fine. But when it goes back to Tank mode, the top gun-type thing rotates, and it makes it look like another gun-type thing is on the top. In other words, it looks like 2 tanks are stacked up on top of eachother, even though only one tank attacks. I looked at the events in the siege breaker morph to Tank mode, and everything was normal. Yet a mesage pops up that says "USER: [ dd 3] Scope[TankHero, UnitEditor] More than one CActorUnit persisting in the same unit scope: [ 18c 5] CActorUnit[SiegeBreaker] [ 190 3] CActorUnit[TankHero]" How do I fix it? Thanks!

    Let's not forget about custom games! Custom games, in my opinion, is what makes SC2 so awesome. Think about it, you can make Call of Duty, you can make Halo, you can make Age of Empires, anything you want! It's like having one game that allows you to play all the others! Getting bored of playing ladder games all day? Then find a custom game and get good at it. Squadron Tower Defense kept me going for awhile (Though I wish the Oceanic builder would be finished), and now Colonial Line Wars has my attention. Then, if you feel that custom games are getting old, or you see your ladder rank in the 20's or 30's, go play some more ladder games. My point is, unless you spend hours upon hours on starcraft each day, (Even then, if you play competitavley, you need to), it shouldn't get boring. Then people say there aren't any good custom games. HoTS will have a feature that allows you to play all games from all servers around the world. You could also spend some time making a game. That's fun too.

    Simple question. How do you get a random button to work on a dailog? My system right now is I have 4 dialog areas (for all 4 buttons), and whenever 1 player clicks a button, it delete's all units in those areas for that player, and it creates a unit in the area that connects with the specific button pressed. I know there are other ways, but it works out rather nicely. Anyways, I was wondering how it could be done. Thanks!

    Ok. So I may have another solution, but I still can't quite get it. I have it so the ability creates a place holder buff on the unit. I'm not too sure on how to get the effects I would like on it now. Is there a way to do it through this new placeholder buff?

    Hello. My map is having pretty god progress, considering school in session and everything, it's getting pretty close to a beta release. Anyways, I have something that I'd like to ask. So I have a tower system going for the zerg race where I used abilities to apply behaviors, since I wanted upgrades to only effect that one single tower. Well, it went great! However, the towers need one last push, something to make zerg awesome, and zerg is lacking a unique point. So I thought I'd make the queen have a "tower enhancer" where it doubles the effect of the "upgrades" (Doubles behavior) for 25 seconds. I have the ability set up, and I know it can be done in the data editor, but I prefer triggers. Anyways, I don't know how to double all of the behaviors on a unit for 25 seconds. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    Alright. I found the problem. I had alot of periodic events, so I lengthened the times. But for future reference, if I want the game to fire the trigger as soon as the conditions are met, what event do I do? In other words, for some of my triggers, I used periodic events just as fillers since there was no event to match up to the specific thing that I wanted. So, is there any what I call place holder event types? It's not much of a problem, but it gets in the way sometimes. Thanks!

    The reason I got into map making was becuase I love creating new ideas, and asking what other people think. With the editor, I can actually create the idea(s) myself, so people can actually see the thing I was talking about. Also, bouncing off of Gradius, I love telling stories. Being able to make my own story that goes along with a game is pretty freaking aweome. Finally, I agree with Ducky. There aren't many maps that are good right now. I feel that all of the maps that have good potential are exacvtly the same as the one's that are already out there. In other words, some peope might take so long creating a map that looks amazing, and the gameplay is perfect. that by the time they spread the word, a game that has the exact same concept and gameplay is already out there. I think, personally, most creators get way too complex with their maps, because they try so hard to make their games unique, when if you simply make a map with a brand new concept, then you can actually enjoy making your map with little competition. Anyways, I think it's fun, and like Gradius said, it's a relief to be able to make something, and call it yours.
