    Hey gus,

    I've changed the Root ability of the Spore Crawler to allow my movable Photon Cannon to morph into a not movable Photon Cannon. Now, everytime I want to use the ability in an area where it's not possible to place a Photon Cannon (only possible near a Pylon), I get the Terran error sound "Unacceptable Landing Zone". How can I change this sound to the Protoss error sound "You must place that on a power field"? The funny thing is that the TEXT message is the right one, but not the sound file.

    Ok i managed to copy the Spine Crawler and change the right entries to seem it look like the Cannon. Now, i have no clue how to make the animations for the ability. The ability to morph to the Phase Cannon and back work fine, but the animation is really difficult to make... In the video it seems that for 1 second the model is replaced by the Photon Cannon Placement model and then uses the build animation of the protoss buildings. And when the cannon phases back, it looks like it's using the animation that is played when the construction of the Photon Cannon is finished. I can't make it work via the Actor events, because I have no clue how the building animations of the Protoss Buildings work. Any ideas?

    That would be a possible solution, but I really want to know which entries allow a not movable structure to move. Well, I will try to copy the spine crawler and see if it works.

    Yes, but the strange thing is that the ability (to move) is not visible ingame. =/ My Cannon hasn't the ability to morph, yet. I'm just trying to make him movable via data editor...

    Hey guys,

    I'm tying to reconstruct the Phase Cannon (from the SC2 Beta: ) which was able to transform into energy and move around. The problem I have now is to make the Photon Cannon movable (not through an ability). I've messed around with the placement, movement and attribute entries but nothing seemed to work. As far as I know the "Phasing" is just a morph ability that transforms the Phase Cannon into a movable Phase Cannon. What exactly do I have to change to accomplish that? The ability itself shouldn't be a problem.

    posted a message on Psi Storm AOE Upgrade

    The Problem is that I need the normal AND the bigger aoe curser still intact in the ability. As I said, it's the upgrade that shall manipulate the area of effect and the cursor size. Well, when I change the basic radius of the search effect in the data editor instead with an upgrade, the cursor gets bigger ingame. So I think it must be a bug...

    And are you talking about the Cursor Splat Actor? Somehow the scale doesn't change when i create that event... ._.

    Actually I just could duplicate the ability, change the second cursor model and allow/disallow the other ability via triggers when the player researches the upgrade, but it's not a very good solution.

    posted a message on Nexus Timewarp/Chrono Boost on constructing units

    Greetings,

    as far as I know in the StarCraft 2 Beta it was possible to use the Timewarp ability on structures that still are under construction. I have managed to make the selection of these structures possible so that the construction time actually gets shorter, but now another problem occurs: The hitpoints don't regenerate faster, so in the end I get a damaged structure.

    In the Nexus - Chrono Boost Behavior I have only found the modification of the 'time scale' by 1.5, but it seems that I have to change more things. I don't think that the field 'vital regeneration bonus' is the right one because then it would be possible to repair damaged structures with this ability.

    Any ideas how to fix that? I cannot open the StarCraft 2 Beta Editor anymore, so it's not possible to look at the old Timewarp/Chrono Boost ability.

    posted a message on Psi Storm AOE Upgrade

    Hey guys,

    I'm trying to create an upgrade that increases the area of the effect of the High Templar's Psionic Storm ability. The upgrade itself and the increase works fine, but for some reason the aoe cursor doesn't get bigger. Basically my upgrade increases the High Templar - Psi Storm (Search) effect radius and the ability cursor itself is linked to the effect, so I have no clue why the aoe cursor doesn't get bigger after the upgrade. Any ideas how to fix that?
