This is also my first map ever, don't have any experience with any previous RTS editor. (well, aside Age of Empires I editor 10 years ago when I was 8)
Unfortunately, with max far clip the framdrops are really low when you're in a third person map. Isn't there a way the farclip ignores the skybox? (so that it always renders regardless of far clip).

It also works top view, but use it sparely in tps, as all the particles rising from the doodad can cause frame drops in large numbers.

If you want glowing tips of some sort, just enlarge a 'cracks' doodad, kinda neat.

Definitily looks pretty, but how is the performance. I hope you're not making it all pretty at the expense of butchering fps.
