    Multipling the outer radius with the value of the sinus and cosnius result, sounds logic. Just a question to that, by multiplying with the outer circle, do you mean multiply by the scale difference eg. 1.50 for a circle at 1.50 radius? The reason I used 1+h was to symbolise an increment of h from the original circle of one, thus the equation that the x co-ordinate of the final point would be x=1+h. Sorry if it sounded way of, I was translating every term to English, without knowing what the exact words was in English, and the +h concept was stolen from a f(x)+h-f(x) differentiale calculation. Anyhow, thanks for the help.

    I am trying to get a co-ordinate on the outer circle, by knowing the initital angle and how far out (1+h) is it. The outer circel is a result of the distance away it is. So using the initial angle and the distance (1+h) I am trying to get a set of co-ordinates for the location. My initial thought was (as in the image) to say [cos(v)+h ; sin(v)+h] But thinking about it a second time, I doubt that it's do-able like that. I thought about using tangent instead, by saying tan(A)= Sin(A)/Cos(A) but I am not sure, what I am exactly getting a result of using that, since I have little experience with tan. Anyone got an idea on how I solve this?

    EDIT: The co-ordinate I am trying to find, is the point on the outer circle, at a given angle (v) and at a distance away at x=1+h

    Did any of you see the Jace Hall show where he visit the Blizzard Office as they are working on SC2? ... With the whiteboard having a little circel with title "like SC1" and a huge circel around it saying "like WOW"

    I love Blizzard, they are so ... "Time, is not an issue"

    But Kenxftw, if you're reaching the critical 10mb (like wtf bliz) cap, then it might be a problem, but if not! Go ahead for a 256x256 and make smaller maps inside, and just adjust the map boundries.

    The way to handle differnet player resolution is just setting the anchor to the right place. If it's a box in the top right corner, set the anchor to top right. The actual x,y are also set from the anchor.

    @TwoDie: Go

    Then I am not sure what you mean. "size of that variable Integer.." I might be reading it wrong then, but an integer doesn't have a fixed size, for one it's an integer, so it is a number stored in it, and variables like integer can always be changed through set variable and modify variable. Err, anyway, I am sure I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do.

    Seems like a great idea, lots of people have thought of it, but never really got away with any progress. Just a quick thought, "The stat bonuses are very subtle and will hardly separate a casual player from a hardcore player." Basicly, wont that mean all players are equal no matter what they actually picked, and there wont be much difference in the selection?

    I am a bit confused. How come you can't play online? Even using my mobile usb internet when I am on duty, I can still manage games online just fine without too much lagency, also if you're computer runs the game slow try reducing the grapphic. There was another guy ranting about Starcraft lagging, and no f- way he would reduce the graphic to some 1990 graphich look, soz but it's a heavy game, so reduce or snooze. But anyhow, there are lots of computers that might even struggle on lower settings as well, although, even an older laptop can run it, the actual req. isn't that bad. So I am a bit confused what the problem about playing online is.

    You can always change the size, location and transparency of a dialog item at any point you want, by using the set dialog .. triggers. Note that changing size of the text has to be done through the preset styles. I don't know if this is what you were looking for.

    posted a message on Boolean and Array variable meaning

    @Claymuffin: Go

    Stop. There are no similarity between an array, and a variable. An array is a "table" or in math terms a "matrix". It means that instead of containing a single value it contains a list of values. Here is an example.

    Without Array: "V: Value"

    With an [4] Array: "V[1]: Value" "V[2]: Value" "V[3]: Value" "V[4]: Value"

    All the different numbers are stored in same variable, under different numbers. So you can later call on the individual values just like you call a normal value, eg. "If Variable[3] > 100" The array is usefull for reducing the amount of variables of the same type. An example would be in an eight player map, you want to store a value for each player. Instead of having eight different variables, you create an array of eight. Then each player have their own index of the variable. A thing to remember here is "Picked Player" and "Triggering Player" also returns a number equal to their player number. So you could say "Any player kill an unit" then "Set V[Triggering Player] +1" What this means, it sets the variable of that player to add one. The table would then look like this, if it was player two (per example)

    "V[1]: 0" "V[2]: 1" "V[3]: 0" "V[4]: 0"

    You can then later call back on those individually values by saying "If Variable[2] > 1" etc.

    --

    As far as variable types goes:

    Integer: Hole numbers (eg. 1,2,3,4..) most common variable. Real: Real numbers (eg. 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 ..) used for angles and precise numbers. Boolean: True or False statement, used when you only need a binormial result of either true or false. .. plus all the others, but you just asked about boolean.

    The Boolean returns a true or a false. In other words "If player eats a pinapple" .. "Set variable: PlayerLikePinapples: True" Now! For your question regarding voting. There is a really bad thing about using booleans for this. As you might see, you can't use math with booleans. So, while it makes sense to make a boolean variable "if players have voted" it would probally backfire, if you want to run something ones all player have voted. Since you wouldn't have a good way of determin when all values are true. A better way would (in my experience) would be to set a variable to the amount of active players. Then ones a player votes, subtract one, and check if the value is now 0. If it isn't - obviously more players havn't voted, but if it is, everyone have and then run whatever you want.

    An example of where you could use boolean values with voting would be if players have 1 chance to vote on something, that doesn't require all players to vote for it to happen. Let me see .. Well, I'll change the example a bit, let's say players can use a cheat code to get a boost or something, then you can make a boolean "HavePlayerUsedHisCheat?" True or false. This is just an example of a player yes/no that doesn't need to include math.

    A last comment. Until you really understand the use of variable arrays, avoid using severel arrays in same variable (eg.) Variable[10][10][10] - at least until you understand what that actually does. Happy hunting :)
