Blizzard will feature your map for a couple days?
This is the biggest joke I've ever read here...
There where so many quality maps which never got the chance to be featured.
To get the privilege to be featured you have to be popular, but you can't be popular in this system.
Btw, blizzard is now featuring their own shitty maps, so we can't be featured now...
Does anyone else think the games that have been on page 1 for several months, are getting boring?

Well I had the same problem.
When I asked if someone could explain me how to bump a project no one understood my question.
Well, I just changed the map-description and the status from "beta" to "released" and with a delay of like 3-5 days, the project was again at the top of the list, so I can't say for sure how it works.
These maps are another epic fail of blizzard and it shows again how retarded this company is...
Well I laughed hard when I read that "Blizzard Dota" would cost money.
Who would pay for that shit?
Seriously... every third beginner here at Sc2mapster could make these maps if he hadn't got restrictions.
Why can you only show 50 pictures at the same time on the screen?
50 pictures at the same time, is such a stupid restriction.
They should just set it to 200.
@s3rius: Well I thought the same when I read the articles but Its not clearly at all, they didn't said its a mod without the need of Starcraft2 too.
So its just a bit confusing.
Anyways I don't think that guys without Starcraft2 will think about playing this "mod".
Guys who own Starcraft2 will mostly know of this map anyway.
I saw some days ago news about "World Of Starcraft" and I thought wow, a map from SC2Mapster is now on computer news sites?

Well I made the past few days a intensive study about this thread and analyzed every post here by doing complicated math and creating graphs to conclude the main problem in this system.
After all that, my conclusion is: That blizzard sucks.....no really...how retarded can you be blizzard?

I would be leaving long ago before the map actually starts.
My guess is, that everything that pops up in the editor (when you open your map) is causing this long loading time.
So the whole level design. (terrain, doodads, units)
Trigger with map initialization?
Unit data-bank?
Otherwise I would really like to now whats causing long loading-times, always wanted to know.
Everyone is confused about the 1.2 popularity system. But after the events of last night, and the seemingly "volatile" system, it seems that the system is slower today. While some may say ponder this with confusion, I understand what is the happenings of this system. The popularity system is in fact a loop/popularity hybrid. The system works like a loop, the popularity caps at 17 and from there goes down the list, resetting popularity. Perhaps the reset is total, perhaps not. However, the popularity system can be volatile, and very slow, depending on when the most custom gamers are on. Regardless, the popularity system now is immune to boosting, cheating the list, and other such things, since it is impossible to maintain stable popularity after a certain time. The list is based on two things, how many times the map is played, which is likely a much lower number now, and how many times the top map is going down to the bottom. The best part of the list, however, is that it is so unpredictable about what games you will get. When the map search features come out, it will be easier, but for now, this will hold us over till blizzard's next big content patch. For now, this is a good change, and it won't give way to boosting, or anything of the like.

Yeah I once wrote that in Germany the popularity system is called "Hurensohn System", which was normal there I guess?
"Hurensohn" translated is something like....lets say "Son of a b...." just more Powerful though.
