Most of the models don't at all look like the WC3 ones. They can't change the whole looking of a hero. That would be stupid. I would like to see directly which hero is Slayer or Axe.
I don't really think, that the LoL community would switch to Dota2. The whole community is full of kids who never played Dota before and don't intend to do so. I'm quite happy that they won't have any interest in Dota2.
As for now, lets see how it goes on in the future with Dota2,LoL and HoN. I don't really give HoN a chance though.
It makes me really sad that Valve stole the name dota to create
something that looks as bad as that. Sure updated graphics are nice but
we could use WoW models and make the same thing in sc2. I've seen in
game screenshot and I thought it looked good but seeing that trailer
makes me doubt it. I thought they were going to make dota 2 not dota:
enhanced. Oh well, league of legends is still fun and free.

No one wants another Dota in SC2. The engine does not work that fine for competitive play since you cant reconnect etc.
The biggest fun on Dota were the heroes. They were unique and fun to play since they were so different to play. Thats something I missed in LoL all the time so I quit long time ago. Btw The community of LoL sucks balls. Dota 2 will get a huge community and the way I know Valve, they won't do a shitty game.
Just to throw some experience in here: You know whats most fun in LoL? To amok rush in every time and die like 10 times, but getting all Items you need since you don't lose gold for dying. LoL is perfect for noobs who want easy game-play and a skill cap. The same reason denying was removed I guess. I know a lot of guys enjoying LoL, but I lost my interest since its to simple made. And every one week another hero? Gosh....

Blizzard Dota will sure be a lot of fun, but I want more than that and Dota 2 on source engine from valve? Hell yeah!
I think Dota 2 will impact like a bomb and will be a huge game in the circle of League of legends, Heroes of Newearth and so on...
At some point you're right, but they somehow started this fight by going to court.
They wanted to take the name DOTA from valve so they can make profit of that name.
There already was a huge discussion about that so no point in advancing this thought.

The graphics are cool, similar to LoL but a lot darker. (HoN style)
If the game play feels like Dota I will definitely buy it.
I don't really know, why people would stick to WC3 though.
You can't even play a normal game there...leavers, disconnects etc.

Blizzard already lost this "DOTA"-battle.
Valve is going to release DOTA 2 at Gamescom starting a tournament with the best 16 DOTA Teams in the world including 1.000.000$ prize money.
So what is Blizzard doing against that?
They are releasing a crappy custom map in their crappy system far too late.
But putting all speculation aside, as always, time will tell.
