posted a message on Mac vs PC for GE

sad, no granny love/respect here... shouldn't be surprised with a gaming crowd though :)

pc has (mostly) always been better for gaming (just because gaming developers work for pcs and ignore macs or any other platform, it's just about reagonomics, nothing to do with anything sensible)

mac used to house so much better hardware it was ridiculous to even compare, but alas no more... as for software, well... your pc softwares all come from mac developers ideas... i'm not even exaggerating...

for galaxy, i will not bore u with the enumeration, but mac users get it in the butt... with gravel added. blizz still caters for it though (so i guess i shouldn't complain, seeing as they are among the last to bother doing it) ... that's why the mac hack for galaxy showed up.

however, just to, once again, play the old fart: my 15 year old macs can still play sc1, my 20 year old macs still play snake, load runner, montezuma's revenge etc... can u say the same with the shitty pc's from then? guess not!

please remember that pc's were (for the best part of the boom of computers) just pale imitations of macs... mac users never bother with their computers, they just enjoy them (antivirus? never need those for one) ; game selection is pre done for mac users (only good games come out for mac)

well... to be honest all this ended with the g4... but hey consider the big bad microshit vs the cutsy fruit... they held on as long as they could

yes, i used pc's to set up lans or play games not on mac, yes i used pcs whenever money was concerned, but i hated it... every time...

"macs are for people who can't use a computer"... pffff.. hilarious!!! i would have said macs are for people who hate wasting their time with dumb sofware, shitty hardware shit and like to use their time for something other than making their computer work properly...

    :( no granny smith love

u should get bored more often... hint hint... this is real inventive... the music however is awful, if u intend on not getting a 222 pulse racing

and +1 "ok .... "using the windows screen shots ... as parts of your interface is just hilarious."

posted a message on What's your favorite pizza?

    @JakeCake26: Go

i meant that few countries still offer a "no topping pizza" because most countries don't have proper fruits or vegetables, not to mention know how for the bread... my visits in italy have taught me the taste of authentic pizza and that's what i was getting at... before that i thought "american topping riddled pizzas" were pizzas and that's just wrong... culture is always lost to the "victor"

bread and genuine tomato sauce is the bomb... and u can only get it with real tomatoes... so all industrial countries (including mine) serve cheese (or meat) with a little bread underneath... but that ain't pizza...

and i did say "not close worthy", and i repeat "boring", but that's my feeling... think we'd be discussing pizza if sc related shit came up?

plus op got everybody hungry for pizz

posted a message on What's your favorite pizza?

not funny, not useful, not sc2 related... not lockworthy either, but boring

however i don't want to be a spoilsport: i love italian pizza, as in no toppings just bread and tomato sauce (but u can only get them in italy though)

posted a message on Public Mod files

you've successfully circumvented blizz's capping (one account for the mod and any number of others for the maps) then? congrats

the success of your mod has you in first line to "force them" to discuss upping the cap (multiple accounts seems "unacceptable customer service" to me, at least allowing "your" method to work without opening the mod should be no problem, since you can justify that both accounts are yours AND you paid twice (so they love u))

now that the "retail dust" has settled, it's time to remind them that their most valued customers are mapmakers, and that making us wait for hotswarm or even lotv is unacceptable when it comes to the mapmakers point of view...

pop system, who cares.. (it's not something they HAVE to address)

but upload disconnects, low ko max cap/ number of maps, crossrealm multiple maps clogging/hosting...are all customer "must address" issues for them (if we indeed ask properly, they will answer, even if it all we get are unsatisfying answers it seems a good start/continuation to making things move our way)

    your call of course

if you wish/have to stick to sharewares, there are some for video editing (although the obtained fraps video might require a third party video encoder to get the proper extension in order to import it in said video editing shareware)

i have no idea if it works (having not tried it), it seems to be the way blizz has "installed their dependencies" though, seems to be what they want to do with their "featured custom maps"

"locked maps aren't safe from being opened either." +1 (useful against anyone but coders, your mod being so well known, "stealing" your (and modelers working with u) work seems pointless)

edit: glad it works, my pleasure to help u give pleasure to other players, now if only blizz would make the updates "recursive" you'd be able to spend most of your time only adding to/tweaking your mod (u buying a 2nd account shows your commitment facing the greedy blizz)

    yet another blizz cap

should add it on mapster's editor "bugs" thread and mention it on the forums,

the solution is obviously that u unlock your mods?, and i understand that that's not acceptable to u

ps: thank you for sharing, i think THIS one is obviously way overboard from blizz and that they will do something about it

(cause if u do it their way, each time you update any little thing (and u do get lots of testers asking/helping .... you'd obviously spend hours just updating, and going crazy in the process, and blizz doesn't want to be responsible for that...?)

posted a message on Someone Stop Gorandor!

    @op

u gotta read before answering, please

i said threads where people are flaming each other should be locked... and you apparently accused a certain mod of "over closing" threads (where people used fuck and other very floury language)

aggro= aggressive behavior, for instance u telling me i must be drunk when responding to your op

i said forums allow pm ing people when the back and forth comes to irreconcilable differences

i hope your graph was meant as fun, as i stated several times already... i added that possibly u could have thought that it would stem strong reactions from people who's maps are on the front page and that one must consider these matters as as "important" as having fun"...

i'm paranoiac? mmm is that funny, useful? yeah you're funny... where in my post do i accuse u of any of those? i asked u if u liked the state of the threads that were locked... and added that pm ing avoids threads being clogged with nonsense (as we are doing right now)

just out of my own senile curiosity, why did you post this thread?

so u like people flaming each other...?

don't u think pm'ing people with insults is enough of a freedom?

perhaps u do not recognize this, but one should post for more than personnal ego/recognition issues... no?

your "constant aggro" is not something to emulate: this is a gaming forum... i understand aggro (believe me), but in order to be "acceptable" it must always stem something else (something more constructive/positive or even fun)

u knew your graph (for instance) would be funny to showcase, however u might have also wished it to be hurtful ... in that case u play an adult's game, so u should be prepared to get an adult supervision, no?

posted a message on A Rotation-Map-Creation, would it work?

i never meant that "stealing sand" business as "my" major concern

i thought you were talking about an experiment, not a way to churn out a map... or a campaign.

the first is interesting to me, i'm doubtful for the latter. i don't think people are as bad as all that though, some should not to be have been relied on, but that's always the case when you entrust something you care about (have invested in) to someone.. it's a good thing to trust, just not something that works every time.

@onisagi (below): +1, much better wording than i did
