    Your map is too complex imo. Games has to be simple to make it to the top of the list imo, that when people play they'll feel like they are one of the best player. Also I think using base unit that people are already familiar with will help. You created brand new units, with its own stats. I don't think people like to learn new unit.

    Think Star Battle. So easssyyy. We got Leviathan, Cruiser, Carrier. We already know that unit and in love with the unit. Newbie will pick their favorite mothership. People think their build order is the best. People act like they are the best and start ordering noob what to do.

    Smashcraft, on the other hand, when newbie comes in, they don't know what to do, They don't know what hero can do what. They got destroyed instantly and boom they quit.

    Very hard making games... I wish I knew... Like Mafia... This is purely my own opinion... But how's that even a video game? That's just so lame... I can understand the game mechanic in real life. It's essentially Phantom Mode. I play a lot in real life, using playing cards for determining the role. And you can read the facial expression of your friends to determine whether someone's serious or lying.. But putting it in video games with chat bar?? No facial expression, not even voice chat, And yet many people love it... Super lame... It's even more popular than Phantom Mode, which I think makes much more sense to be put as video game.

    Now if you look at Debates... War of Words you put it in video games using chat bar... Doesn't work...

    So Congrats to Mafia to find out that people loves to play that kind of game using chat bar...

    Or look at Xel Naga Observer vs Rodrigo's ICJug's observer map? The XelNaga Observer is much much popular than Rodrigo's ICJug, while ICJug has much much more features... I don't know what's going on there...

    The world is crazy my friend...

    I think all of you got it wrong asking for a filter to get list of games that has players in the lobby... Because it will all be about SotiS, Star Battle, Desert Strike, etc etc. (READ: Most Popular) as they will always have players in the lobby. Instead the filter should be where there has been a player waiting for at least 60 seconds...

    This is noob mistake that even Blizzard did when they added Fun or Not feature. It should be the maps that is not in the top 2 or 3 pages after a certain amount of time, not just any maps...

    Good moba = laning, creeping, then leveling, then teamfight, then destroying the nexus/main base.

    if you go directly to teamfight without foreplay, kissing, etc etc. you will have insufficient lubircation imo. But hey, some people love direct intercourse, what do I know?! Just imo.

    And that is exactly why I think that Blizzard saying "premium map = original content, artwork, asset" is very stupid. If we can create original content, might as well publish the game under XBOX Live, or other entertainment publishers.

    Btw, Well, xp decline could help too. 1st death - original xp, 2nd deathstreak - original xp * .8, 3rd *.6, etc etc. But LoL feeding prevention system is already way way better than DotA. in DotA, u die, u lose money, enemy got money = hard to turn things around.

    make the bounty of kill declining on death streak. 300-200-100-50 if death 4 times in a row. Or dont give money penalty on death. Revive time is already a big big penalty. no need to punish on the money too.

    Oh and those who got fed with like 5 kill streak will have higher bounty if he die.

    No... The "over the cliff" infiltration mechanic has always been either with:

    1. Unit drops, medvac, warp prism/pylon warp+observer, overlord drop/nydus

    2. Or with ranged unit with air units vision aids, Siege tank+air vision/orbital scan, collosi/blink stalker, broodlord

    The current mechanic is perfect already imo. No need for burrowed over the cliff, esp. for the fact that it is very difficult to spot in minimap, as you need turret and detectors surrounding all your cliff perimeter. That's overkill.

    Talking about reaper, speedling is essentially like reaper. it is so fast that it can go over ramp in a blink of an eye and infiltrate your ramp block if you made little mistake. Plus baneling bust can help too. On protoss side, blink stalker, or pylon warp in over-the-cliff rush is essentially reaper imo. Might not exactly be the same but it can function just like reaper if you think about it.

    Rip off your money every year? Do you even know that Activision doesn't make money? They are at losses. If it weren't for Blizzard, Activision Blizzard will not make money.     I am really saddened... Do you even have any idea how hard it is to make money in video game industry? EA, Take Two, THQ, they are all not making money in the past few years. Plus Gamers are disgustingly cheap... always complaining about paying $60 for games. So cheap... $60 and you play for thousands of hours. Compare that to movie ticket. $15 for 90 minutes, not including the popcorn and soda.

    When marketplace rumor coming in, everyone so sad because they have to pay 99c for a map... Disgustingly cheap. There's a reason why it's better to make social games for casual people and non-gamers. Like Zynga's Farmville, Cityville, Angry birds. etc etc. Because non-gamers are not cheap. They are willing to pay 99c, heck even $15 for a tractor in Farmville. Some idiot people spend $1000 a month on Farmville. Do you know that Zynga is more profitable than Activision? They booked $750 Million profit a year! Do you know that? Because non-gamers are not cheap and willing to pay!

    So I don't know what anyone mean by ripping off... Go ahead and read that income statement. Look they are losing almost $100 Million! I don't know what else to say.

    Yea but the shares is worth 0 hours after reset. What determines the price per share? I assume the hours of popularity right? SotiS is 12,000 per share since it is around 12000 hours played. Unpopular Smashcraft is 260 per share?

    Now after popularity reset, Yes I still have say 100 shares of SotiS but the PPS is reset to 0?

    Ah i see what you mean. what about popularity reset? how would that work? Everyone bankrupt?

    Or I can wait for pop reset. then buy StarBattle, SotiS, Desert Strike, Marine Arena, Zeal Frenzy, when it was 0 hours played =)

    What do you mean? Do While vs While?

    Do While will execute the command first before checking for condition. Advantage is when you know you will have a constant command in the 1st iteration. While will execute the command after checking for condition.

    U mean vs For loop? While loop could save you 75% to 88% memory bytes vs For loop, esp. in situation where you use boolean datatype for the while loop condition. Remember boolean is a very inexpensive datatype, only contains bits 0 and 1 (1 byte). For loop typically uses integer for index cursors, with increment and decrement, more expensive than boolean (int is 4 bytes, longint is 8 bytes).

    Think of it this way. For loop is better when you know how many iterations you're gonna go through. While loop is better is you are unsure how many iteration to go.

    1 byte vs 4 or 8 bytes might sound small but in a situation where u use many vars, it could make big difference.

    That's all I can think of. I might be wrong, correct me if i am, my memory is kinda rotten lolz...
