posted a message on What is the Perfect World? (deep discussion)

The perfect world is very relative to the person thinking it.

I think you should say a sustainable world. As in, using all renewable resources.

Also the technology to make the planet FLY, for when the sun goes BOOM BOOM.

So as you don't forget: (Note, i haven't played your newest version, just last updated)

When selecting an summoned monster, you can see their stats/hp/attack

Make health bars represent health more accurately. As in, one bar = one hp. A great example of this is in League Of Legends (Not sc2, a Dota "spin off"), each bar of hp counts as 100 hp.

Custom decks of course :P But we have already talked about that.

    Thanks for the help!

And no, there is not a single place would go to, in my current style of play.

As i advance, or others, in skill, i/we will discover places that are pointless, or noob traps, and i will change those.

There is already one such place, i believe i type in "Bad base" when i go near it. And even that has a use, although, a freakin hard to pull use in single player.

    Thanks.

I hope i will be able to do some of the more advanced stuff, once i find a better video editor/maker. Windows Movie Maker makes me rage.

I am going to attempt to first, survive as long as i can (Pretty damn to beat it solo, seeing as it lasts 30 minutes) And then taper it in some places, speed up others, skip others.

Any specific times where you thought the terrain was bad? Because there are a multiple "weak" areas which i need to build up.

(Note, all terrain has purpose in the actual game play, although, i try to make it as pretty as possible)

Basically i want your feed back on whether you think is quality.

    Questions i want answers to

If these are good songs to use

What songs i can replace them with (At the time i had very limited songs).

    Should i make it shorter.

Should it end in victory or defeat

If i should add comments to show what i am doing (Pretty much if it is self explanatory enough)

If there was any terrain you particulelerly liked, or disliked.

If you think this looks enjoyable.

Any other pieces of helpful information, that i could expand on.

P.S. There is a short scene where i am mining minerals, in multiplayer that is GREATLY expanding on, because, not everyone has 20 Kodos on them :P.

P.S.S. Ya, i am not at the top of my game in this video, i kept leaving holes :P

Well i got a kodo model imported and working! Well a clefthoove, but close enough, am i right?

Time to make worker choices (Which will be hard)

I can upload the models into map, if anyone knows how to make a "builder choice" screen thingy (like the old kodo tag had, or a lot of current hero games work). You can PM if you want to help.

Or if anyone knows a good guide for it :P

But, i am still looking for testers! I will be testing tomorrow night! I have one person so far. (BY testing i mean having fun)

    Quote from deathtorn: Go

I could port the Kodo from WoW

That would be awesome, although, i think i know how to do it.

Also, i am thinking of converting it to "zombie chase" or something, because the stream lined (taken out everything i thought was FOOLISH in kodo tag) has made it almost nothing like it.

Of course i would use monkey-rage infested humans. (28 days later :P)

Thanks for the offer, but i already have gotten help with that.

It is mostly down to multiplayer testing, and adding models/choosing between models. < Things i can't do as easily by myself (i don't know about models)

And adding more abilities / upgrades

posted a message on Help with timers.

I have been trying my darn dist for a long time now to get a simple timer window to work, and have failed.

Could someone possible make a step by step guide (with screen shots?) on how to do this, using the current version of SC2 editor. Currently the only ones i can find are using out of date copies of SC2 (making it at times confusing) or are incredibly unclear.

After you posted this, i would add screen shots (if you have none) which, and make an "up to date" tutorial on doing this (adding more details, because i feel that others might need more points then me, those others being other people that haven't figured it out either.)

Or even just screen shots of all the parts of a timer trigger, after it is completed (the global variable, and the two-three triggers associated with it).

I will thank you in advance!

Kodo tag has offically reached stage two of four.

This stage was achieve when i got a working model of the kodo. Oh and a loading screen.

What i currently need from, you, helpful people, are some things i know i will be unable to do, easily; Making a "builder choice" menu. This would appear at the start of the game for each individual player. I would upload the models/skins into the map, and send you the map, then you would help me create this.

But what i REALLY need are people to help me test. Some input. I have been thinking about decreasing movement speed of both builder and chasers, but i would really like some other peoples opinions first on whether you think this will be better.

Note As of right now, i have not uploaded the most recent version of my map, no where near most recent.

posted a message on Seeking triggerer/coder/scripter and a "brainstormer" for my to-be polished bound + potential sequels.

    I would love to help!

I am still learning the ropes of the data editor, and triggers for that matter, so i couldn't help in those things (very much)

But i would love to brain storm ideas (i have vast knowledge of what is generally considered fun in all the escape maps in WC3)

I warn you though, a constant re-accuring topic would be ice, it is so much fun sliding around with horrible/slow/realistic controls hoping not to crash into anything. (Of course, that isn't the only thing that comes to mind when i think of the great escape maps in WC3)

posted a message on Kodo Tag - Looking for Data Editor

I believe this project, or at least maker, to be semi dead; however, i myself am making a kodo tag, and am pretty far on. I have all the basic game play down. All that is needed right now is: Custom upgrades, abilities, models, a choice screen to choose a different builder. I am slowly trudging my way through these things, but if anyone wants to help...

To see one the game is like so far, go create it on bnet (search for it as kodo) and it will come up. (Note, i am working on a terrain overhaul, to differentiate from the terrain of other kodo tag games)

posted a message on Starcraft 1 Popularity System

First off, with out dota, wc3 would have crashed and burned, but with dota, other games could ride on its coat tails. People may have boughten wc3 for dota, but they soon found other games like Risk Devo (the sc2 risk i played was HORRIBLE) or a tag game.

OnTopic: It only showed games being hosted. And when that game was started, it no longer showed up on the "list"

I think that is how most games work...

However, i tried to import it, but it did NOT show up in the folder i directed it at.
