posted a message on How to keep interest in you project

    1. Make a map you want to make, more importantly, make THE map you want to make.

    2. Only partner if you know the person.

    3. Only partner if you know how to partner.

    4. If you have to wait for someone else to do something, it's their project, and you will lose interest if they consistently run behind.

    5. Don't procrastinate, but don't over do it. That grunt work wont do itself, make a commitment to complete segments each day you are able to.

    6. WHEN you have to redo something, remember you learned something very important.

Those are my biggest lessons learned right there.

Real men watch whatever they want and don't give a fuck what other people think.

Yup. But if they have a "Go Go Power Ranger" fetish they usually have the sense to keep it to themselves. My little pony gets a pass on the harrassment because it's apparently got the gay card associated with it. Can't just make fun of some dude playing with little girls dolls and singing along to the theme song to my little ponies without being called a gay basher apparently. Didn't know gays owned it.

Just for reference, if you use the words "sexuality" and "my little ponies" in any way whatsoever, it does say something about you. It says that a target audience of 5-12 year old girls is something that you associate sexuality with says enough. Enjoy your day, pony power!

I think I would prepare my boy to breed before i prepare him to die. Good point though thanks. I think any girl over 10 that watches it is somewhat weird as well. As far as the homosexual reference, not my point, I have half a dozen family members that are homosexual, some of them are over for a visit right now, they don't watch it either and think it's funny that you're making a pony into a new flag for them.

I'll excuse myself from the conversation, not interested in an off topic discussion that somehow gets turned into some sort of discussion about homosexuality... thought we were talking about ponies.

    Edit:

Didn't know we weren't allowed to argue a point without being called a gay-basher. Really what do ponies have to do with being gay?

Let me know, we can arrange an xbox viewing party for My Little Ponies, Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake with my daughter. I checked with my 13 year old daughter and she offered to set it up... but I had to endure her laughing at me. Just add us. Pony Power Forever! I'm a 31 year old man and I comb their hair every day! Go Go Ponies!

I actually have a recording of the gentle woman singing the my little ponies theme song that starts when my computer boots.

For those of you who don't know the first episode starts like this:

Twilight Sparkle is tasked with going to Ponyville and make some friends. There, she meets fellow ponies Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy. However, she is too focused on finding out and preventing a prophecy, involving an evil pony who was sealed within the moon and would return during the "longest day of the thousandth year".//

"My little ponies" is the greatest thing to hit youthful heterosexual male tv's since ICarly. I don't understand why Milfeus came on here, I bet she didn't know other opinions weren't allowed in the my little pony thread... how dare she. I forced my 6 year boy old to watch that god forsaken show, he freaking cried.... Transformers and GI Joe were too feminine.

You just put the mod file in the appropriate folder and add it as a dependency?

    Quote from AgoutiByte: Go

So I was thinking to myself, how lovely it would be if Blizzard made all the WoW WC3 models available in small, discrete packs. Multiple map editors could the use them as dependencies, and players would only need to download them once (plus every editor wouldn't need to use up space for them).

While this is unlikely to happen, there is no reason why the community can't emulate this. We could put together a few dozen or so model packs, mostly comprised of WoW models (and community content) spread across accounts (or using donor accounts).

If sufficiently well organized and if a number of map editors used them it could save a fair bit of space user downloads. At some point most custom map players would end up having downloaded each of the packs and editors could use the models (with appropriate dependencies set) as if they came bundled with the game itself.

So the question is - would there be enough demand and support for making and publishing packs? Has it been done already, but hasn't had the publicity it needs for a common joe like myself to have heard about it?

Obviously there are trust issues around using dependencies from someone you don't know, who could potentially remove the packs.

Ideally hosting would be done with donor accounts, held by sc2mapster.com or Curse via admins.

    Like the ones here?

    Hello there

May I please ask for some archers/crosbowmen? Never played WoW but I've seen on the Wiki there are some elven and human archers Thanks in advance

Here you go for crossbows. Here you go for bows. Here you go for humans. Tutorial for changing attack types and spells.

Just for giggles, you can find axes (both one handed and two handed) and guns as well.

Z is doing fine work, we'll help a bit if allowed.

I've successfully imported all of your models, really cool to have casters firing off like sentries and really cool watching my pit lord using a collosi attack. Could you please help us with converting the following models, we believe we can accomplish a very good wc based map with the following.

    - Dwarf Models - Shields - Any "Ward" models that may be out there. (Healing, Mana, Sentry, W/E) - Rifles

Also, I did not read it here, but what can be done about portraits after the model import?
