    Hey all im trying to make something similar to an ac-130. I got a battlecruiser shooting an array of weapons at the target location however i cant seem to make the unit move in a circular motion... Anyone know how i may achieve this? thanks

    I had the same problem, I created an Actor Site Operation for this. You will notice for many of my impact effect actors, that they use the host site operation Air Strike - Lower by 6 (maybe the ID is still LowerBy3.75, I changed the height in the development process)

    yeah i noticed that and tried to put those that offset into the target impact locations, and well the explosions were at the correct level but the missiles would be in the air. Which personally i thought was a little bit strange =P

    what i have so far is attached, my only focus this far is trying to get the unit to launch missiles at the target offsets, not so much making it look like an airstrike.

    • Edit the explosions are actually beneath the ground as i was playing around with the lower value and forgot to change it back =P my bad

    Hey guys, some great works so far keep it up =D.

    i am also trying to learn some of these techniques and currently have been working on a strike similar to Kueken's. I have it working as far as launching missiles and dealing damage but for some odd reason, my missiles are not hitting the ground, rather they hit at the same height as the caster. I have gone through Kueken's works and tried lowering the host impact and what not but it still hits the air.

    Hey all, in the middle of making some custom heroes for a map I'm working on and thought of some kool abilities that would involve the unit spinning. However, i have no idea how to make a unit spin in the data editor, thus cancelling any hope in making this type of ability =(

    That is why I made this thread, I would love it if someone had an idea of how to make this possible =D and is willing to share their secrets =P

    These are some pretty nifty ideas which i will have to play around with, sorry i havent had a chance to get back to you all earlier i have been quite the busy with school. I thought i could use an ability which called other abilities and when the final target was picked the real ability would fire.

    Thank you all for your help it gave some great insights into creating this ability. =D

    Hey everyone, i'm looking to create an ability which the user acquires multiple targets. As an example i would like to make the ghost snipe ability only start after the player has chosen 3 targets. Then the ghost snipes the 3 targets with a small delay in between each shot. Any ideas for how to make this possible would be fantastic =D

    So this is also just a general question about abilities. How do you make an ability initial require a resource cost and then be able to use it thereafter without paying? In context it is an ability which purchases and equips a weapon, which once purchased can be equipped for free.

    @SouLCarveRR: Go Yeah i understand what you mean and I am hoping more that the odd kind of abilities such as progress, redirect, specialize, battery, beacon amoung a few others are defined. thanks though =D

    oh and i suppose it would help if i said that i am aiming to make a building capture ability. Which also reminds me, if anyone knows how the attack click works, for example how does the cursor know that when you click on an enemy that you wish to attack. i want to implement the ability so that if you click on a structure it automatically uses the capture ability.. if thats makes any sense to anyone =D

    Scratch the thing about the cursor.. i found a topic completely unrelated which suggested that i should check the smart flag =D i love this site
