    posted a message on Third Person Shooter (TPS) engine - Download if you need one

    Im having the same problem, I made a map a long time ago using this TPS Engine and now i cant play it anymore because the aim is glitchy, it never shoots in the direction you want. I had this problem with the original map too so it's not a problem on my side. Here's a video of the map I made:https:www.youtube.com/watch?v=-y9Nu3P2-88

    Here's another map i was working on, for some reason this map works, the aim doesnt glitch. I wasn't able to find out the problem so if anyone is willing to look into it heres the map that works: Link Removed: http://www.mediafire.com/download/72a4o7p07z43wbo/Zombie_Survival.SC2Map

    My version of the editor is in french, so are the triggers,

    Long story short i dont quite understand your triggers since their not the same language.

    I feel tough like the units are getting the order to attack, only the location at wich they attack is not being updated. Hence why you feel like they go idle.

    Also it would explain why the anti-idle trigger didnt work while it should of.

    I guess if you order a unit to move to a location where it already is, it doesnt move, but thats yet to be confirmed.

    Yea i knew that I just couldnt explain it in understandable manners since english isnt my main language :P

    Anyways, local variables are useful when you need to run the same trigger many times at the same time. Every instance of the trigger will create its own local variables. Therefore avoiding any conflict.

    @MoDTassadar: Go i tought so, thank you for the reply

    I just realised how hard it would be (for me) to create a stunt plane flight simulator. So i wont be continuing this project. I dont really expect a better answer than the one MoDTassadar gave me so the topic is solved.

    Anyhow if you have a link to a tutorial on how to make units lean please post it.

    Sounds like you need to store the unit as a global variable for your problem.

    Oh yeah i totaly forgot to mention, the variable must be global or else it will be reset everytime the trigger fires, or something like that.

    im not sure to understand exactly what your problem is.

    Have you tried to use a variable for that unit ? all you have to do then is revive the variable and it will revive the unit attached to it.

    In order to attach a variable to a unit that is not pre-placed use, Last Created Unit

    As example:

    Create 1 Unit()

    Set "Hero" to "Last Created Unit"

    Even atheists can believe in life after death? No. The afterlife is almost always tied to some god. An atheist believing in an afterlife is like a vegetarian eating meat.

    I disagree, you see i dont believe in a god nor any religion, i believe there are thousands of possibilities and explananations to life, Being an Atheist means you dont have a religion, nor believe in a god.

    So what if i believe its a possibility that, We are "aliens" with a state of mind so evolved that we dont feel emotions anymore, like machines. So in order to feel happiness and live again, we created a "video game"(universe) in wich our brains are connected to our avatars (body on earth).

    So when you die, you simply wake up on a space station your brain linked to a huge server with thousands of peoples all around.

    Right now im atheist who believes theres an afterlife. So thats why i disagree.

    @Phenix53: Go

    hmm have you tried this

    AI - Activate Suicide (Enemies)

    Basicly, it sets a group of unit to suicide AI. wich means they will attack the closest enemy units until they die.

    Just type "suicide" in the trigger box to find it.

    posted a message on [Solved]Unit Attack Angle(Flightsim)

    Hi everyone, i am currently working on a 3d flight engine. So i got this problem, when i try to modify the unit attack angle in order to make the unit look up and gain altitude, the unit doesnt lean at all. Heres my trigger but note, i had to translate myself. My editor is french.

    Unit - Make PlayerUnit [CurrentPlayer] looks (Offset ((position PlayerUnit [CurrentPlayer]) shifted from 2.0 to 180.0 degrees) height 1.0) for 1.0 seconds

    I'm guessing that i cant modify the unit attack angle using this trigger. So i wonder how else is this possible ?

    perhaps i can modify the unit in data editor to make it able to lean up and down ?

    but then I got the error everytime I try to save the map: "Unable to move existing archive (It is already being used by another process)" C:\Users\Metrael\Documents\Starcraft II Beta\Maps\testMap.SC2map

    Anyone know what is it?

    I had the same problem today, the bug happens when you preview the sound file in the data editor. So dont press the play buttons in the data editor when linking your sound file and it will work.

    well, what you said sounds like an invitation into your team, i guess it could be a good opportunity to learn faster, but i'm having trouble making clean codes .. so ill have to work on that because its really important when working on a team project.  The kind of map you are working on is exactly what im looking for. i dont know if i need to apply or if you can simply invite me in your team... i will take a look at that.
