With the skybox following you it makes the optical flow match so that it looks like the stars are far far away.     Hello folks,

    It has been almost a week since the initial release of this map. The feedbacks have been very helpful and I really appreciate them. Out of them, the lack of replayability has been standing out the most. To address this issue, I have added the following features into the map.

    Combo Multiplier

    modifier

    Multiply the score you gain when your combo reaches a certain amount.

    Result Panel

    score A detailed result panel that analyze your performance in three categories. Speed, Accuracy and Endurance.

    Random Generated Phrases

    phrase Phrases like the ones above are randomly generated.

    Feedback

    Feel free to try the map and tell me what do you think. I am looking for more words and sentence structures to put into the game. Or are there any other stats that you want to see on the result panel?

    It is now available on the US server and will be available on EU server soon.

    Thank you very much for the feedbacks. They are really helpful and I appreciate them greatly.

    Replayablity is my current #1 priority, I really like the randomly generated phrase idea. I will work something out asap.

    Regarding EU release, it will have to wait until this Friday or till we get some clarification from Blizzard. Personally, I would love to opensource this as there are many better mapmakers in the community. But I am not certain if that is allowed by the rules. I will keep looking into it.

    Sorry about the lag, the performance took a hit while I kept adding stuffs into the game. I will try my best to keep the optimization tight and keep a balance of features vs performance.

    Thank you. Yes, the current version is built specifically with the contest in mind. A showcase of what the engine is capable of and as polished as possible. Replayability is my first priority in the coming version.

    Done. Just made a page for it.

    At 200 latency, I have not noticed any delay issue myself. However, I am biased since I have played the map almost a hundred times by now. The most troublesome issue that I ran into is actually the texture memory. Before, the game had to be ran at Medium/Medium, or else my graphics card with 512MB memory simply can't handle the load. I had to scale back a lot and do some optimization before it can run smoothly at Ultra/Ultra.

    A typing game inspired by Typing of the Dead. You defend against waves of Zergs by typing the words above their head before they reach the blue line.

    How to Play

    The game is available at the US server already. You can find it by searching "Typing of the Zerg".

    Performance

    The game runs at constant 25 fps in Ultra/Ultra with my moderate gaming pc.

    Word list

    Right now, the game uses the 50 US states and the name of the US presidents as its word list. I am open to new ideas.

    Coming Soon

    This is an updated version of the map that was submitted to Blizzard contest. More stages and features are coming soon. Any feedbacks will be appreciated.

    Hey folks,

    I have finished the cooperative mode for the campaign level, Belly of the Beast. It now supports up to 4 players. You can find it by going to Multiplayer -> Create Game -> Search "CoOp". If you encounter any bugs, feel free to report it here. I am also open to suggestions for the next map.
