    Thanks! ^^

Yes, I use 3D Studio Max 2011, the tutorials included are very useful if you are a starter in 3D modelling.

Now I'm trying to add some details for finishing the model...

Hi, maybe you can use some tubes and start extruding faces or modifying geometry. I'll show you a quick example I've done in 10 minuts:

First I create some lines (splines) for giving a shape to the cave. I have done it in three height levels for giving volume. In the second step I create lines between the different levels creating a mesh (I have marked the Magnet with a 3 icon to connect vertexs). After that I use the surface modifier to give it surface and then a noise modifier to give it some cave style. In the last step I gave the cave a rock skin to look like it should be (I haven't a nice skin in my computer right now).

You can try to do the splines tutorial about the chess knigt of 3D Studio, it helped me a lot. ;)

What kind of cave do you want to create, for playing inside like a third person shooter, for playing over it with transparency or for decoration?

Thank you for posting. Yes, I have the normals maps created. I tried to reset XForm and to flip normals and it worked for parts like the thing in the right wing and the left decoration on tail. But it still looks like the body it's translucent or something:

(View from under the submarine in the editor)

Can it be caused by drawing order or something similar?

    Thanks!

Edit: I have solved the problem, it was in the material of the body. It was marked as Alpha Blend and Now it's marked as Opaque and it is nice now:

    Thank you for your help!

What do you think of my model?

Hi, I started doing my first model for Starcraft II, it's a submarine:

But I have a problem when I import it into the editor, the textures are ok, but it looks like it has a problem with the normals. I tried to flip the normals but it looked worst than before... This is how I see it in the editor:

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

These are awesome models! I like them. I'm a modeller and I use 3D Studio, I know how to add texturized models into the game, but I don't know how to animate them to get working ingame. Would you add this in your tutorial? Thanks!
