the voice acting is really horrible lol... but seeing this map has really inspired me. I liked how you used those door assets.
Honestly those missions were kind of gay. You should have kept the dead space theme. You could be like a search/rescue party... or pirates searching a direlect ship. The hub should be a base of operations on board and you execute missions to get the systems ship working/ finding the bridge... geting power life support working... then yah run into some zerg and in a cargo bay/lab you discover what the ships cargo was an alien hybrid or something... when you character walks down the halway have some weird voices calling out to fuck with his head like (bobby come out and playayy) or some crazy shyt... you should create a.i. units that act like a squad. in certain parts of the ship you can discover dead bodies and remember the zurgified doctor in the campaign i'd use her animations as hallucinations or whatever. This has a lot of potential... also order should be carried out froma bridge and also with all of that tech I think that the spectre would have a com device and it would be necessary for him to report back to the hub every mission.
Also the southern accents were horrible!!! you should make the bar tender a flamboyant gay guy.. there is no don't ask don't tell policy in the future marines
what would be cool is if the editor had a picture in picture feature. That way you can use drones and have a camera following its movements etc. even though before a unit would board a vessel depending on the circumstances the would send a drone first. My advise have a member of your team create a story arc and then edit accordingly
on that note there was a bug in which a prompt came up saying that I died when I had very little life actually left. You should finish the player abilities etc. too and finish those triggers before testing the zerg abilities. To indicate that there is indeed a boss you shoud go into a brief cinematic or have a audio prompt or something notifying tht you are in a boss zone
Why sweat the small stuff when what is important is the map and no you can't pass the loading screen because your map is hosted on battlenet and thusly it takes time to be synced up to your computer. You can customize the loading screen and remove the ugly bar or create your own ui.
youtube is your best friend... simply follow the online tutorials. All of what you are trying to accomplish can be done using the data editor. before creating maps focus on creating the UI and DATA for the units.... that way you can save it as a base map for all of your maps in a campaign.
I played this game on battle net. In my opinion it needs a little bit more work.
1) UI - The user interface is a little basic. Just a health bar? No mini map. This needs more work and branches into the next items I will bring up.
2) Weapons - You need to create a selection of primary and secondary weapons in which can be selected by a key press or by selecting a button on the ui display. Where are the abilities? no grenades or flamethrower.
3) WASD/Key press movement - with the camera angle it would be more prudent to activate abilities and items with hotkey and move around with either the keyboard or mouse.
4) Items - You need health power ups etc.
5) Objectives - What is the mission? Just run the path and kill zombies? Where is the character development 4 survivors running the streets... why not use vehicles to drive through the city. It seems boring with no replayability like NOTD.
6) Banks - why replay? why not create a leader board special items and characters to select with gained experience.
7) Why are there transformation points. why not stick with civilians. use molotovs etc and then you can run into soldiers and vehicles that you can control. What they are just running around and find a mark vii power suit etc? Why not simply have civilians trying to make it to a evac point and along the way find soldiers to help and vehicles etc. or a marine rescue party.
The title is awesome why not change up the formula a little bit.
