    No I understand. But I would like to make a suggestion for the data contest.

    As opposed to simply holding a contest to see who can make the flashiest data asset. You can make a contest concerning who can make the best BLIZZARD DOTA LIKE HERO. Set criteria for creating a hero and judge the contest based upon the practical functionality of the hero and how their abilities synergize.

    Then you can have a contest concerning who can make the most unique DOTA style terrain...

    Then you can have a contest for the best Dota style UI

    After everything is sorted out, and with a little help from a few people to combine the assets together.. SHAZZAM:

    SC2MAPSTER DOTA. :3 Naturally submissions will have to be submitted with a MOD File to facilitate the process.

    Instant community project -> In theory!!!!

    Nooooooo!!!!!!! Not like this... I have been defeated. I really thought the minor increase in map size would be compensated for. Especially since I extended the map for the octagon shape of the cliff region which could have been modified but I didn't have the time to (or have done so in the first place. Well I suppose I will use the layout for one of my own custom maps. I suppose that I could release the design on the web site for anyone that is interested in modifying it for their own arena map becasue it was a pain in the ass placing all of those ground decals and ground props. I still need to find a way to make them show up for low res.

    I have to give hobbidude props for his Protoss temple map. But thematically it would fit in the event you could choose zealots as your primary unit other then marines.

    Thematically it would be cool if you had a contest (In HOTS) for a Zerg/Protoss/Terran Arena. I imagine in March you will have to recreate the map anyway because the update may break your original code for triggers and there will be a ton of new terrain objects like modular walls and intractable turret platforms that will allow map designers to develop new innovative arena designs.

    Next time I will claim victory >:D (Provided I haven't finished my own custom map by that time)

    posted a message on Abilities for the Sentry

    The energy transfer ability is a persistent beam ability that works like heal to restore the energy of allied units while leeching energy from structures and energy units. The shield restoration is a good idea however the high templar will already be able to research the Plasma Surge ability to restore shield points on top of the obelisk acting as a shield battery.

    Creating an ability in which shields can be given to Terran or Zerg Units is Unneeded given the fact that terran bio will have medics and medivacs and zerg units will be able to restore their energy faster and health whie burrowed and out of combat. Plasma shields theme wise are controlled by psionic energy manipulation so it would only make logical sense story wise to give protoss, or ghost units shielding...

    -_- here are a couple of screenshots of the filler. For the contests sake I will leave the doodads to a minimum. More will be added pending the outcome of the actual contest. My entry will be submitted in the morning because unfortunately I learned that I have to drive all the way to South Carolina and back to take care of some business so I will have to wrap thins up tonight and simply submit what I completed. I'm looking forward to seeing the entries that others didn't post in the forums.

    Well I figure if Marine Arena is shout casted it will be a private match with individuals with beastly computers on ultra settings since lag is dependant on the users. I plan on releasing a doodad free version to him in the event the marine arena team is interested in using my layout with their own design simply to use the terrain as an alternative.

    The doodads can always be removed after the contest after the primary code etc. is optimized. Depending on the out come of the contest I may publish and release the map on this web site for somebody to make an arena map.. I really want to focus on completing this melee mod that I have been working on for like a year and a half

    Oh I altered the game camera so in game there most of the space is out of sight... I decorated the outside walls with billboards and tarsonis walls
