Hello, if any of you have played Diplomacy back in the day in SCBW, there were a lot of clans, clans played other clans, talked trash, was a very competitive environment, it was a lot of fun :P. I want to try and bring back some of that spirit. However, there needs to be a workaround the fact that there are no "clans" and no "clan channels" etc etc...
I'm looking for a highly skilled modder that knows that they can figure out how to do the following concept. If you are up for the task after reading, please contact me at [email protected] or post here.
Basic Concept: In-Map Clan Creation/Listing/Ranking feature.
Example, say I want to make a clan called Soviet that requires a joinpassword, I'd join the map, enter the necessary commands, i.e. .createclan "Soviet" "password" (or whatever), and by doing so you become "leader" of your clan, you get the clan tag put in front of your name for the remainder of the map, i.e output would be: [Soviet]Oblivion. So basically the feature revolves around the things you can do with creating, ranking, joining, leaving, clans made by the public that are stored in the map. Hopefully I want to get to the point where, two clans can join a private game, and enter a command at start like .clanwar "clanname" to extend an invitation of war to the opposing clan, and then the clans can have win/lose records etc etc.... Obviously this is very general I have a lot more details that I don't see the need to include here, but they would tag in along with the other features included with creating/listing/joining clans.
The problem I think might be an issue is, getting that information accessed universally, not just by the user end, (meaning is it possible to store the data they enter to a webserver, either directly, or via banks to webserver)
I hope there are some interested people available, trust me your work wouldn't go unappreciated.
Thanks for those who are interested, please contact me!

I remade Diplomacy 7.7 Gold, I'm on the U.S server, come find me in channel Diplomacy my name is Oblivion. I want to find a good player base for diplomacy, start up a U.S community.
Diplomacy 7.1 Gold has potential, but it just isnt pulling people back in for more. For several reasons, 1 being its not on the first page, and the 2nd being people don't care about Diplomacy in SC2. It is time to change that.
Fockewulf I'd love to here from you on this if you aren't busy.
I cant publish my map. Im pretty sure it has to do with the recent patches or something. Because my internet is well above the average isp. 17mb/s upload and 18mb/s download. So there shouldnt be a problem uploading a 2.52mb file in under 2 minutes. Like all my attempted uploads. it gets stuck at 78%.

Alright, so I made a Diplomacy map, its called Diplomacy 7.1 Gold. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to recreate the bring trigger that a lot of diplomacy maps used back in the original starcraft. the bring command allowed people to build say a supply depot (basically any building type) near a "city" and when the building was built and as long as it stayed built, within the region that was the city, the triggering player would get money every few minutes. So my question is this, how do you recreate this "bring" effect.
I'm not asking for unit enters region, because that asks for a specific unit that has already been created on the map. And i'm looking for a way to implement all buildings, not just a single type of structure. Is this possible? Please help
I've had a breakthrough in the triggers for replacing existing units with a countries special unit, and also taking over another countries speciality and having those units replace the normal units. Besides this there isnt much else to do, itll take time to test each country, balance, test, balance, test, and then also create the incomes for cities is gonna be a bitch. Luckily diplo is a lot of repeat triggers so once you figure one aspect of it out you can get a lot done.
I too am making a diplo map based off of good old 7.7 gold. I can't figure out how to recognize specialty units for each country though.... and I can't find triggers that relate to a structure near a region that will give you money. Idk why blizzard said this editor was going to be "easier and simpler" cuzz it isn't, lol.
