    Maybe Blizzard, if they ever do some, let's NOT call it Warcraft 4, as Lore-wise - I don't care and the story is done with WoW but maybe like what CS was for Half Life, or rather, simply a game for the Melee and Mapmaking with easier Editor no Campaign, modeling (not sure modeling can get easier for similar or better quality of graphics, maybe not). Meleewise, the skill and micro made war3 much better and interesting with using so many abilities than SC2 which is a bunch of bio ball with less micro and just attack / didn't scout a 4 square dark spot of cheese gg doesn't matter you were better.

    Also it would be nice if this site got some .. better look like more in the SC2 blizz forums with buttons, blue skin, kind of like how Hive is planning their new skin.

    Oh and yes, I am an RTS player not a Dota one but it seems, Heroes may be the new 'war3 i.e a place where both players and mapmakers meet and stay for many years..' Better make a decent micro oriented RTS Blizzard-glizzard.

    Until then.. for the first time I may switch to a Dota game - Heroes of the Storm

    Blizzard just need to hire you to make some new warcraft game with these models and quality to bring us all to the real skilled micro oriented games that war3 offered unlike sc2 which btw is dying in non-pro melee.

    Another nice set of models, is this cloud a model like the way in HotS campaign is made?

    In one thread I wanted to remake this without requiring anything custom but I was not sure if a model or a texture/triggers are involved.

    Firstly, thanks for all the info you have added there! Good for being at the event and gathering this information, also interviewing people. As being mostly a player, I have followed WCS Global Finals but besides the new WoW expansion they mentioned and the Heroes of the Storm trailer, I didn't see much of the non-esports part and now I see a lot of cool things been done there!

    As a melee player, I never played much Dota back in war3 but when I did, unless doing too bad at it, I enjoyed it. That is to say, I never hated Dota-like games but I am primarily an RTS player. Still, I DO LIKE these kind of games and while I'd rather be into RTS than Lol/Dota 2, this Heroes of the Storm is a game that I would play as well!

    Amazing graphics, I am big fan of characters from other worlds meeting in one place aka crossovers and I've always doen such, maybe that's why I really like it!

    The portraits from carbot are ... meh otherwise great for CUSTOM DECALS (at least for Clans)~ OMG I use my own custom decal in my maps and alternative in Bnet, never thought I would see that! But it better be placed in a more appropriate way cause the TL logo there didn't look well placed, better to replace the MAIN building's ground logo.

    I think based on what you choose the map will appear there. Custom - your map will be seen in Custom tab of bnet, better refrain as no one plays there, Arcade - where all play. For example Peep Mode/1v1+ Obs are in Arcade and more people see it,

    I would suggest the Bank under which section you choose to use 'Handle of player' as it will be unique and won't mess with other plyers' stats. if you will use it for a team as well, best is to use this Team Victory map as it adds the victors to a group where the Win/Loss event run for all within the player group of winners or losers.

    Don't know how it handles disconnect as I don't know what event can detect when a player is about to drop - when a player Leaves the map, the events cannot work and update the bank wit ha Loss

    There are events like presses some Menu option like Leave/Surrender, etc but I do not remember if that worked for the bank to save with LOSS.

    Awesome idea for WTE and awesome terrain! The post-apocalyptic scenes of abandoned cities like 'Life after people' show on History have always fascinated me. Your streets are too clean, they need a lot of grass as well.

    Actually changing the road from (Umojan?) to some cracked one can do the trick.

    I don't know how it was in BW but since war3 was more advanced, it is like in war3, Banks are the way.

    Banks are created via triggers so it doesn't matter if your map is in Custom or Arcade for that. What I provided is a Library or triggers that can be simply copy+pasted without needing to do from scratch. It just need little adjustments depending on what you need. For example, in what case your opponents will gain a win/loss to run these triggers to add win or loss and save the Bank file. Also will the players be winning solo or team or would it be mixed - these triggers can be adjusted based on that. So how would players win and lose?

    Try this

    See how you need it, for solo wins (each one gets it) or team - each player within the team gets a win, both solo and team mode may be a little complex and may require duplicating some part of the system.
