Well all want it and try it! To make our favorite old games into the SC2 engine. However, it seems most things that I want to do are already being made. (Like Z for example)
So I was wondering, do you guys have any suggestions on what old (RTS) games there are that I could try and redo? ^^
I'm trying to make a building with the same ability as the medivac. The problem is, it won't heal at unless the unit is right next to it, and even then not all the time.. I've removed the "Approach" tag from the "Ability - Validate" but it still won't heal, despite also having added a huge range to it.. Any idea why?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to make the siege tank attack land on where the unit was when it attacked him, rather then where the unit is at the moment the projectile lands. But I can't find the proper projectile in the siege tank to change the guidance movers.

Yes I have seen this. It does use armor reduction. I'm going to implement this system, however I need to add armor types to it as well.
I'm thinking maybe add armors as items? O.o
Is there a way to have custom armor time? Like in War3, like fortified, medium, etc...?
I tried to do it using triggers (damage reduction) but there is no way I can get any data about the attacking unit's weapon.
I saw somewhere on this forum about using buffs?
If someone can guide me down a road I'd really appreciate it.
Too bad... I wanted to create two types of units with each it's own type of supply :S
Then, is there a way to make the resources be able to be less than 0? I'll be able to use them as supplies with the right triggers xD
Is there a way to use a trigger variable in requirements or validators? I tried looking through all of them but I can't use it. Basically I want to do a second population limit. Donno if there is an easier way to do this?
man it's like you read my mind on your second post!!! I had made a map just like that in WC3. It was around 60% done when my hdd got fried and I gave it up :/
I had things like archers on the walls, two gates that the attacking team needs to get through(inner and outer court yard), minions spawning for both teams. The teams were able to buy good items, upgrade their minions, or collect enough gold to buy a big battering ram to push with, etc... I don't remember many details, since it was around the time when frozen throne came out, but maybe I'll try to do it again with SC2 ^_^
Duuuddeee!!! How did you do all that? At first look I thought it might be simple, but when I tried to debug it I realized how much you've done! Thanks a lot dude!!!! It's a bit out of my league for this.. I'm going to have to sharpen my skills after seeing this xD
Sorry I wasn't able to reply. I've been away for the past 2 days. I've taken a look and it works, but I keep getting error messages.
I'll try and see if I can flush out the bugs.
I remember in warcraft 3 editor you could make an animation over a certain region. Is there a way to do this in the galaxy editor?
Tried searching and doing it myself but no luck so far. Only found for a certain point and not a region.
I probably misunderstood what you're asking but I'm going to try and answer.
If you don't want the player to be able to build battecruisers: Data->Units->Starport-> Ability - Command Card + -> click on the battlecruiser icon delete.
If the stimpak doesn't show on the command card then maybe you deleted it from Abilities?
