Hello, I'm Doc! I have experience in data editing. If you want to see some check out my Unit Test map.http:www.sc2mapster.com/maps/docs-unit-test-map/ I can do abilities, actors, behaviors, units, models, weapons, and more. I'm willing to do the really really boring tasks like changing every single units name to Bob. I'm not attached to my work, I'm willing to let everyone see it, modify it, and improve it, so you don't need to worry about that.
I think that they should go on time playing on the map / how many games are created. idk if the game client is able of getting match times after the game is done.
They definatly should also add a search to the custom game list
i used to have to put my password in every time i started the editor, but now i only have to do it once a day. i like it now i can play starcraft 2 and use the map editor at the same time. if i log into starcraft the map editor wont ask me for my password
every time i move the camera over a cliff the camera goes crazy, it zooms in like to 0.0001% and back out again. any fixes it really starting to get on my nerves
i have some experience with triggers, i am learning fast though i can do the long tedious tasks which i expect will be in that type of map. i have played lots of diplo before sc2 came out. we might be able to pull the triggers from the original and maybe apply them the new one.
ya so the player can give money to the merc's any time they want. How would i do that or can i use the resource trading thing.
Edit: ok i figured it out im using the player score, total resources traded, attached to the variables. im running the those through a comparison where it will switch alliances. i just hope i can trade resources with the computer
hello i want to make a map where you can bribe a computer player to fight with you. whoever give them the most money the will help. it wont be like the campaign mission because when you give them more money then the other player they immediately switch sides.
first, i need a way to transfer money to them and to tell how much you and your opponent have given them. also something to tell who's side they are on.
second, it would be nice to be able to give them simple commands like attack and defend.
I can almost anything, but of course I'm not the best at everything. i can edit sounds, do the terrain, triggers, and data editing ok. I can hardly do any 3d editing though, but i have tried. I'm picking this stuff up fast though. this sounds like fun bring it on!
Hello, I was just getting into mapping on sc1 when sc2 came out. I really want to make maps, but the new trigger system confuses the heck out of me. I'm good with making terrain. If someone makes the triggers I can do terrain.
