posted a message on help with camera distance

Hi, you can try to adjust the camera distance settings to affect your zoom. As for following your race car, not sure if it's what you want, but you can try and play around with the camera's scroll rate values in the data editor, like setting follow acceleration and deceleration to 0.

You can check out OneTwo's WoW map, I followed what he did, and got the camera to follow my unit instantly. Hope that helps :)

Great stuff you got there! Anyway this helped me a lot in dealing with button images, I don't need to create a separate image and set the blend mode now. :) Thanks

posted a message on Firing a beam weapon from two guns. [solved]

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I was thinking whether I could emulate a missile type of attack, since they seem to be "one weapon" but firing actually comes from "two spots".

posted a message on Firing a beam weapon from two guns. [solved]

Greetings all, relatively new to mapping, kindly forgive my n00bness.

I am having a small problem making my unit fire a weapon on two guns at the same time.

Basically I made a laser beam for the Goliath. I managed to set up the model, actors and sounds, etc according to the beginner beam and actor tutorials (excellent!). But it works but only on one of its guns. I know I can tweak the Launcher Query detail, which was initially set to AMFilterWeapon00. Changes respectively according to the numbering. But if I added two, the animation would not show...if I just use AMFilterWeapon, it fires from all its hardpoints instead (lol).

Been tweaking around some values, like the host site ops and stuff, even tried the two separate weapon creation from the "Thor attack/ability animation help" thread (but doesn't work), getting nowhere. Something I've overlooked? I tried to study and reference the other attacks, like missiles, or the Colossus, but I can't make out anything useful.

Any ideas? Your kind help is greatly appreciated! :D

    - [UPDATE]

Thanks for all the help! I solved it by changing the filter to the first weapon set!

Once again, thanks for all the assist.
