Is this a problem for non-nested For loops? Should we still use While loops over a single For loop? Or is the efficiency problem only apparent once you start nesting them?
I think we need a better PM notification system. An email sent to you that you received a PM would be good, and also something like a window popping up when you have an unread PM. Right now, the small 1 PM at the top is so discrete that it's often easily missed. I've missed seeing PMs for days because of that.
100 times in 12 hours? Wouldn't your map still be low on popularity because it's only 8 games per hour? I always thought the popularity list was based on games per hour and not total games played.
But aside from that, you'd have to spend 12 hours at your computer starting and quitting your game every 5 min? I can think of better ways to spend the better part of a day :P
What we need to come up with as a sc2mapster community is a group effort to raise the popularity of a member's map once its released. If we get 50 guys doing your Boost thing for just one hour, that would be a significant gain.
Handy trigger, but pretty damn tedious to still do :/ Especially since the top maps have thousands of games played every hour. Unless you and a BIG group of friends did this all for your map, it wouldn't do much.
It looks good indeed. Just a little detail that caught my eye is that the place where crowd is standing have no entrance/exit, perhaps add some doors and some decorations to walls? Also I loved flashiness and advertisements, please add more advertisements doodads and maybe neon signs/lights? (This show is broadcasted to millions of people, we must maximize profit! Add more flashy things that will catch viewers eyes!)
Thanks, that's an interesting idea (more advertisement thing). However, I want to be careful not to make it too overbearing, distracting and busy so that it detracts from the rest of the cinematic. Plus I gotta factor in any lag effects too.
I didn't notice the lack of entrance/exit, so I'll add that in. Thanks!
A friend of mine has created a higher quality video for me now. Looks a lot better, and I re-added the audience pan since I found a way to add it in without the excessive lag.
Where is this "super units" area that we're suppose to put units into? A simple intro cinematic showing the various locations would be extremely helpful, since I have no idea where to get the super units, and I've been LOOKING.
You should remove the mineral requirements for carrier interceptors. Attackers dont have many minerals
Hey guys, I just wanted to get some feedback regarding my intro cinematic here that I made for my Smash TV map that I'm working on. If you've played Smash TV or Super Smash TV, then I hope you'll get some of the references thrown your way in the cinematic ;) A shout out thanks to onetwo for his help with terrain :)
Unfortunately my laptop that I'm running SC2 on sucks, and I have to run SC2 on minimum setting as it is. That's one of the reasons why the video quality is pretty low. Hopefully one of my friends will be able to make a higher quality video soon and I'll upload that.
If you'd like to see what I have so far, I'd be happy to show you. My map isn't using WASD keys for the exact reason mentioned above, but I still am aiming to have some intense action. I'm hoping to be able to recruit someone who will be able to help with skills, abilities and upgrades.
When I try to place units in the Set category on my map, most of them don't show the model. Even though it shows the "preview" (the ghost model to show where it will be placed) as I'm placing it. Like for example, Donny Vermillion's model appears, but his news broadcasting set does not.
The unit IS created however. If I use the square selection, I can select the unit whose model is not appearing.
I wanted to create a cinematic with Donny Vermillion's model and his set, but I can't do it if the set model won't appear :(

Other issues are as people have mentioned above.

I think it's looking pretty good so far. Yeah, the idea of the force field is good too, and does make sense in terms of the story and such.

MrCreamyT is already working on a Smash TV map that is pure action and involves WASD controls:

I started a Smash TV map a few weeks ago and it's going fairly well so far:

My contact info is on the Smash TV page I linked.

Can you show us a screenshot of your trigger that creates the leaderboard please?

Anyone know how to fix this?
