I recommend watching the PAX East coverage, but be aware that it is 40 minutes long. It will show you more of the combat, features, and character customization. One of the best features of this game is the care that was applied to the story. It is a serious story, though I cannot say as to what the details of the plot are (good vs. evil or what not). It is certainly not goofy.

I was interested in this game well before I begun working there, though that may fall on deaf ears due to my apparent bias, haha.

I know it's awesome because of the gameplay footage, E3 coverage and the writer who created the world/story (R. A. Salvatore).

I know the studio is awesome because I work there ;-) (I'm not working on this game though).

    Still looking :(

To clarify some important questions that may arise:

    • The mod has a rough story penned out for all of its 5 chapters. That doesn't mean that whoever takes the lead in this mod's future will have to follow a strict set of guidelines. The story points are there to guide the team in future development. If you take over the mod and find the story lacking, you are welcome to improve upon it; in fact, you are encouraged to do so.
    • The game mechanics for the RPG had been finely developed over months of iteration and changing them drastically will be a detriment to existing players. If you are interested in completely overhauling the gameplay, this opportunity is not for you. However, balance iteration is a never-ending process and you may need to add/modify spells/abilities/tactics to keep the mod fun.
    • As this is a head development role for a mod that requires heavy development, you have to love doing this stuff (if you don't, you shouldn't be modding anyway). You might not have time to tackle side projects. If you are a person who loves dabbling in several things at once, this opportunity may not be for you. That is up to you to decide though.
    • Though my role in the mod is diminishing (I went from working on this almost daily to weekends only), I am still going to be around to help you and teach you. If you are not an expert in the editor, but have the willpower and dedication to learn fast and work hard, then this is the opportunity for you. That said, experience in the editor is a huge plus.

I wish to have this person's username reported as it offends me to see Bio Physics affiliated with such illogical and self-centered religious fervor.

There have been some major delays due to me starting a new job and moving several states away. Things are starting to get back on track now.

The current ETA for the worldwide release of Escape (full content release) is July 1st. This date may change depending on how things go.

Yes. I use this in ZHRPG. As long as the same person hosts all connected maps, this is viable.

    Hello again, folks!

Cave Johnson here to introduce you to yet another exciting opportunity from Aperture Science!

Do you like RPG's? We sure love RPG's. Odds are you probably have some great RPG ideas of your own, but are absolutely terrified of the idea of spending months and months on an RPG only to have it disappear in the popularity vortex. This is where Zerg Hunter RPG (ZHRPG http://www.zhrpg.net) comes in!

Due to professional and personal reasons, Zantai can no longer dedicate as much time to the series as he had in the past. So here is your moment to shine! Zantai is seeking a talented and dedicated young (aged 12-152.5 years) data editor who will join the ZHRPG team as a content developer.

Your duties would be as follows:

    • take a leadership role in an already developed and popular mod and help shape its promising future!
    • plan and balance future game content for the series following the flexible vision for the saga as written by Zantai
    • implement game content, including cinematics, scripted events, boss encounters, trash encounters, items, and hero skills
    • collaborate with Zantai and the rest of the ZHRPG team to create an unforgettable RPG experience for SCII that will be unparalleled!

    What you get in return:

    • a chance to contribute to an already existing and popular mod and get your name on it
    • a chance to learn and collaborate with talented modders who love doing what they do
    • access to all of ZHRPG's content

ZHRPG is a popular RPG series with a healthy community and awesome features. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, contact Zantai here at SC2Mapster or at [email protected] (e-mail preferred).

You can open maps from any region as long as the map file has been localized for all regions (otherwise text values will be invalid). That is how you can have someone from another region host a map for you in that region.

You can get a very simple localizer right here at sc2mapster:
