If somebody knows a way for me to port it to EU short of making friends in the EU really fast, I'd be more than happy to port it there!

With V 0.69, cinematic skipping should now function properly. Unless major bugs come up, the next update will include loads of new content.

Just played it, very very cool. Fun to play, and I found myself actually wanting to level up to get more damage and whatnot... well done. The skill-tree was great.

A few things: Several (4-6) objectives active at one time was a little confusing, (ie: the Terran base being attacked by the Hive while 2 of us were still going to take down the first boss) I had no idea it was supposed to be happening. Cinematics were too long... I know they're skippable, but if skipped, is it possible to put a short summary of what just happened somewhere, so the player knows what just happened? Do cinematics record every player who presses ESC? Or just if one person presses it, the cinematic is skipped? If it records all players, could you put something in the UI to say "Player 1 has chosen to skip." etc? That would be helpful. Aesthetically, the UI menus are a little boring. Are there plans to change these a little bit? The buttons, the backgrounds, etc? There was a bug after the first boss where the camera didn't revert to the default game cam and stayed cinematic. I have a screenshot of it, I'll attach it at the bottom. EDIT: Argh, it didn't save my screenshot, but there was a trigger error... I can't remember what it referenced. It was a fairly significant bug though. It only corrected itself after another cinematic was cued.

Other than that, I must say, it was extremely fun. Terrain was well done, spells were sweet, portal system was well implemented... thumbs up sir. I'll look forward to updates.

    - In the future, I will do a thorough job of wiping out objectives that have been completed for a while. The fact that the city got attacked by zerg from the hyper lair was a bug which I fixed shortly after you played :X

    - I could use my empty job menu for that!

    - The cinematics record every player. I will see if I can report who has pressed esc at the time.

    - Long-term goal for sure. At the moment my goal is content and crushing bugs. Aesthetics are definitely last on the list. I will see though if I can make things prettier without impeding functionality

    - This bug should have been resolved, I believe.

    Thanks!

Oh okay, cool! I guess I read that you had items and saving and then didn't see it ingame (but it's coming soon)...

Yeah I have the same issue with save/loading encryption... kind of hard to do it well with just text and a limited bnet bank size.

I figure I will do my best to impede the hardcore game-breaking cheating, and leave the rest to the community to avoid any jackasses (only so much I can do in that department).

@ZeroExodus I will try to make a tutorial, when I have time. I'm very busy on a day-to-day basis, and not just with ZHRPG :P

@TremplerKing Unfortunately due to the way B.net is organized in regions, this map is only available in the US at this time. The moment this issue is resolved, I will make it available everywhere.

@OneTwoSC First off, thank you for your active support of the mapping community. I have benefited from at least one of your tutorials throughout these past few months and have given you credit in a trigger comment (someday this material will be public and you deserve it ^_^).

Now on to your comments: When was the last time you've played it? I have made significant changes to the difficulty in recent updates (including an Insane mode for those who liked the old difficulty) and will continue to tweak some of the enemies that give players trouble.

As of last night, all cinematics are skippable. For those that do not wish to listen to the story, they can follow the objectives and map pings.

Items are currently not implemented. The first batch of items is coming in my first major update (V0.7) and more will be added as the map nears V1.0. The job menu is probably just going to be removed. The game's built-in objective tracking is sufficient.

The glossary will have very helpful first time tips for new players as well as short explanations about how to play each hero. I am also working on a short tutorial mode for singleplayer.

My bank is not called Uninstall.sc2bank. The saving feature is disabled at this time, so the bank shouldn't save at all (unless opening the bank makes one). All maps will test the bank file for common cheating methods (extra skill points, hero mismatch, rigged skill point distribution, excessive cash). Since there are very strict requirements for the skill trees and levels available in a map, I can easily test for game breaking exploits and simply boot the cheater from the map. Beyond that, I feel that protecting it too much more borders on the DRM dilemma: time and resources are spent for something diligent hackers spend a few days cracking.

I am very pleased with the public response to the map. People are being very supportive and Extremely helpful in catching bugs.

As long as I can still post the map myself after the contest without being disqualified. I have an RPG series to finish. If I lose the first map, I'm screwed!

Edit: And I hate the vague nature of all this. My map has a webpage and a forum thread in two places. Doesn't that mean it's displayed and thus not qualified? ARGHHH.

This is the SC2Mapster thread for the Zerg Hunter RPG Series:

    http://www.zhrpg.net

ZHRPG IS ALSO RECRUITING. Visit the following link for more information: http://www.zhrpg.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=396

ZHRPG has been featured by Blizzard and is growing in popularity and exposure everyday.

    Some of the highlights:

    • 15 distinct heroes divided into 6 Terran, 6 Protoss, and 3 unlockable champions
    • Unique skill trees reminiscent of Diablo II, with 6 active skills and 8 passive perks per hero (in map 1). With 10 maximum points per skill/perk, you would need to be higher level than is available to maximize them all, making your hero unique to you. By map 5, it goes up to 19 different skills/perks per hero (228 total!) of which 47% can be filled.
    • Many new active and passive skills that do not exist in the game
    • Loot, loot, loot
    • Hardcore mode that disables hero resurrection
    • Insane mode for those that want a greater challenge
    • New Town Portal system: go back to base from anywhere and teleport back anywhere you have visibility (including allied vision).
    • Enemies scale with players, so one player can tackle the map as well as four could, but the map is meant to be a co-op tactics rpg.
    • Epic story telling via skippable cinematics. Watch the plot if you want, keep trashing monsters if you don't.
    • Persistent hero that you take with you to the subsequent chapters
    • Map 6 will be a tournament style pvp map where you will be able to load your saved max level hero to compete against other players in what will hopefully become a large database of player submitted arena maps.

    Feedback and suggestions are appreciated.
