People could have done tons with the old SC1 editor too, they chose not to though. Sure you cant do as much as you can do now, but that doesn't matter. Fastest maps don't tend to be as fun as they we're in SC1 though. Still cant figure out why, even the ones that stay true to the original aren't that fun anymore.

Most fastest maps i've played on sc2 have always been too one sided where everyone seems to mass 1 single unit type, made it kinda boring for me to see that happen over and over.

Games don't seem to last long, once a team starts winning it seems like they can't loose.

Can't you just go to game variants and make a 4v4 melee setting... either way does it matter if its a custom map or not if it still has all the melee map settings?

posted a message on Zerg Droppod help

For some reason whenever i use the zerg drop pod model instead of the terran one (when i edited the Calldown Mule ability to drop zerglings) it doesn't spawn the units anymore but still produces the food as if it still made them. (the zerg droppod animations work fine when i use the ability) the only real difference i found between the two models other than the different texture files and whatever, is that the zerg one has a spell animation as well as the birth stand and death animations that the terran also has. I would think that removing the spell animation would fix this but i do not know how to remove it. If this isn't possible am i forced to use triggers to do it instead? Or have i completely missed my guess on what is causing the problem. Either way it wouldn't make sense for zerg to drop units in with a terran droppod.

Also, if i use both models at the same time it works but i don't know if i can make the terran one used but not seen... just as another option to my problem.
