One is change the whole model's tint... This adds the color to every portion of the model (see Color TD) This isn't what you wanted from your discription...
Two is to export the texture, find the channel they use to determine "team color" and recolor the texture by yourself (or have someone else do it)... don't recomend this.
Three is to pick a new model.
There MIGHT be some special flag set in his model file that changes portions of him to "team colors" but that is highly doubtful. The texture artist for the heroes probably was given specific colorschemes to use.
i just took it out . Something wrong about the 3ds it wont import animations of the archon.
but here if you want a quick look at it. Its skin is like blue too . I didn't change anything except for taking out the blue effect.
This is a defiler model but animations arent added. Someone else who's got time can work on that. The Face isn't visible. I will be improving this model later on to make it look like this.
Anyone can edit this so .. attachment will be provided.

Wireframes , Btn Icons are done professionally.
Protoss Texture Unit is applied to the Reaver.
Stats for the Unit is all done accurately.
Sounds of the Reaver from starcraft 1 are imported and tuned for starcraft 2.
All 16 team colours are applied to the reaver ( Update) Look at the white in the picture

Here you go. The first attachment is the science vessel without radar. Other one is just the radar itself. Just felt like adding it.

How do I make collisions between players? I don't want the unit going through another unit.

I got one right here. All you have to do is extract it . And any blp file you have , drag it on to the program.

I think you do it with triggers. Make a trigger library (rename to AI project) and start from there. The Trigger Properties has an AI section.

go to the actor of that unit , add event , unit birth , source name < your unit > , set tint color . choose that colour
