    Hi, I'm having trouble designing an aura I want for a unit, basically I've kinda learned how to make auras using the mothership cloaking field behavior and adjusting the modification+ field. Now a new aura I want to implement is something that heals unit's life based of a percentage of their health, for example 1% (a unit that has 90/100 life will heal at 1 hp /second / a unit with 500 life will heal 5 hp /second etc.) There is a modification that allows you to change a units VITAL REGEN but I think this is not a percentage of their life but more of a constant number, anyone know how to go around this?

    posted a message on So, Who played/plays WoW?

    Played as a rogue since vanilla. Loved the class ever since. Played BC but never quite killed Illidan - although our guild did. Never downed that really final boss, forgot the name. Tried returning to WotLK but this time as a priest, meh, good times but never quite felt the same as pre-BC and BC. I have to say our guild really had a hard time because our people played as casuals although our core were serious raiders. Also internet boss had the best of us. I guess my greatest achievement in WoW was I had the best 2s team in our server during the Vengeful Season (3). I was also rank 4 in our battlegroup (BG9).during the same time.

    Thinking of starting a 10 man casual guild with my old pals during Cata. Meh, but who knows, I love making SC2 maps.

    Does anyone know a way to implement GLOBAL COOLDOWNS? Just like in WoW. The potential problem i see here is how do you make it so that when global cooldowns pop, the abilities that are currently cooling down remain the same and not reset. I'm planning to make a map that uses skills with cooldowns that can reach as much as 5 minutes.

    First of all, very good tutorial, I've tried it, works fine. Some issues though.

    I think the position of the dialogue will not be the same for all. I play at a 1366x768 resolution. At first when I followed your setting, the camera still unlocked when I clicked on my units portrait. I realized that there must be something wrong with the button so I changed the transparency of the button back to 0% to see where it actually was. I found it in the middle of my UI, right above the unit name. I had to change the portraitFix_createDialog trigger a bit:

    • Dialog - Create a Non-modal dialog of size (180, 238) at (1525, 962) relative to Top Left of screen

    I'd like to hear feedback from other people who also tried this trigger. Perhaps this might pose as a problem for people with different resolutions, the position of the button will differ for every player.

    I'm still having problems understanding the editor, I've tried the tutorials in this website and some others; and I have successfully recreated them. But recreating and understanding why this part should go to this part etc is still what I want to know. Is there a tutorial i missed out there that explains UNITS, BEHAVIORS, ACTORS, MODELS etc. in full detail? Basically what I want to learn first are the fundamentals of the editor. I really want to start making a map but my progress is limited by my knowledge of these things. I can surely copy for example on how to make units have an aura, but why I need 2 BEHAVIORS, and 2 EFFECTS is what I'm really after. Thanks!

    Wow, excellent, I also loved this map on WC3, question on the UI though, I am blown away but how neat and simplistic it looks, how was this done? Is there a tutorial in this site? I'll probably start looking for it after posting this. But anyway, good job! Lava is great.

    First of all, great tutorial, this is the very first "skill" i made using the Sc2 editor. Noob question: how do i display some sort of animation when the units are affected by the aura? just like wc3. can you also add art for the main caster of the aura (also just like in WC3)
