I have been trying to find a way to add hero selection to my tower defense game at game initialization not in lobby.
I want it to pop up on the screen (like an inventory) and have buttons for selection.
When a character is selected I want it to become unavailable for that team but still available for team 2 (unless picked on team 2 of coarse).
I don't want to have to hide a unit(structure) somewhere and use it as a purchasing system.
Things I have tried:
Scowered the triggers for a "show/hide inventory" function to use on melee init.
tried attacking an inventory to a structure.
Looked everywhere for a tutorial on custom UIs that covered this.
Am I missing something? Is this only done in custom scripts for maps like Storm of the Imperial Sanctum?
I was wanting to use shields as a stamina bar and make it a true 3rd vital. Is there a way to make shields not act like shields? Also how do you make abilities that require you to hold down a key? Will either or both require triggers?
Guess this is a noob question but I am new to the editor. I imported a library I want to use on my map. I assumed it would let you copy and paste information from the library to your triggers. But, it uhh, doesnt. Maybe I dont understand what a library does?
