Seriously, last night two of my buddies and I played some 3v3 matches only to get roflcopterstomped by people that have platinum, diamond and gold status in 4 games. We are bronze and we belong in bronze (still learning the game) so why are we being pitted against high tiered players?
Blizzard stupid "team" leveling thing is really bad for matchmaking. It allows people at the diamond level to create a team lose all the placement matches and then faceroll their way threw the noobs that are trying to learn the game.
I think warcraft 3 had a better system :(. Having your 3v3, 2v2, 1v1 rank be personal and not team based worked better.
I play just about any AAA first or third person shooter that comes out (I am done with COD series though). A lot of RTS games and I usually am playing at least 1 MMO.
Right now I am not really playing anything other than SC2 but in a couple of weeks I will be dropping into halo reach :D .
No current MMO right now but that will change with the release of SW:TOR and GW2.
I play just about every western RPG that comes out, my favorite being the Mass Effect series. (I heart Bioware).
Thanks man, I think I got it. Will keep trying to perfect the method :) . I really need to start using the grid while texturing....I mostly keep it off.
Yeah I should have fixed those before taking the pictures :(...Wouldnt have been hard but ohh well. Its not a map I will use for anything as the extreme heights and depths make it unplayable (due to the camera wigging out).
Your textures look good to me :D . But yeah I do need to spend more time on textures. I sort of get in this mode of this is grass and this is dirt and forget to merge them (although I do try to blur the edges). I will try to be more random with it....scouts honor :P .
Well, this inspired me to do more with my mines of Moria map.
The following tells the story of the fellowships journey through Moria.
Titles in order: Speak Friend and Enter -> Gandolf: Light in the Darkness -> Top of the 1000 Stairs -> Gimli Rushes to the Tomb -> The Bitter Reunion -> Drums, Drums in the Deep > They Know Not Where They Flee -> The Dwarves, They Delved Too Deep > Behold, Balrog. > You Shall Not Pass!!!
Yeah its the in game (non doodad) fog. I have recently done a second version that (along with a bunch of other stuff) is going into a project. It uses doodad fog and doodad clouds and looks much better IMO. I will post pictures of that ( and the other stuffs) later in September when the project is released.
There actually is some snow on the other mountains :P. The sky is the belshur skybox (I have since found that the vikingsky is a much better skybox for this scene as well).

Out of random curiosity...Wouldn't using these, in a public map, be breach of copyright?

Yup, mine go to lala land or something. The hero picture on the screen pops up that the unit has revived but it is nowhere to be found.
I have tried adding "show unit" to the trigger but no dice.
Anybody with a solution?
