    dunno if this is asked allready, i am sure this is, but id ask it:

    Is there anything blocking me to play custom maps without HotS? I dont have HotS, dont like the changes and features. Can i play Maps within integrated the new units? At least i can play HotS as a custom map then when its possible. In WC3 u need Frozen Throne for many customs. Same in SC2?

    What is needed?

    -text tags over units

    -alliance setting to control units / maybe the advanced version with moneysharing, so both can spend money

    -some lobby changes that only 1 player choose the race for team

    -win loss condition

    -dissalow to select allready selected units (imo tough to do)

    Thepoint of the map is playing a 1vs1 basic Starcraft with multiple Players controlling 1 side. There are some maps out but of all them have some destroying issues including my own.

    There are some probs u have to handle:

    -only 1 player can spend ressources and the other players just have shared control, this is kinda bad when the microing players cant morph banelings fast at the front.

    -2 players controlling the same unit

    -some changes for the lobby is needed because only 1 player choose the race for his team and because of the moneyusing issue i implemented a vote for commander ingame. commander is doing the macro and the rest pick units to do micro.

    -when the commander is leaving the game breaks, this need to take care of in triggers. I never get this running because it breaks my massiv messy triggers then....

    in my map:

    i can not disallow a player to choose a unit, i did a trigger wich removed the unit out of his selection when the unit is allready in selection of an other player of his team. This works but u can control the unit for 0.3 seconds, this is enough to mess up some orders.

    I added a little text tag over controlling unit to show everyone who is controlling the unit atm. this causes lag because my solution was create a text tag every 0.2s with a 0.4s fade out. This looks very perfect but was laggy anytime. The text is really essential imo to know who is doing what at the moment.

    My map calls four4one and is published on EU.

    I did not use the editor at least 1 Year now, kinda afraid to switch it on again and work me into it and overall i am not the best one to handle it well. Sadly there is no map with this style and i really want to play it. Some of u pros can do this easily in some hours i think because this is mostly basic stuff to do and the resultat is a easy to understand and very funny custom map.

    I would love to see Catz is doing macro and dragon is going micro vs Babyknight and ToD or something. At least the mass micro u need in SC2 is an issue to handle for everyone including me and i would love to play this new style of 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 with my mates.

    maybe there is allready a new map and i missd it, call it pls.

    my map is "four4one - Metalopolis" (EU), another one i know is "team melee" on several maps. But like i said this both are not playable. team melee is loveless crap and my works at first look fine but have many bugs inc lags.

    me and my mates would love to help u betatest it when needed. we are every evening in the same TS room.

    i cant see the floordecals in the editor, like the numbers and stripes. ingame they are there, but its impossible to use them without see them in the editor. Graphiks in editor is on extrem. cant see them...

    nope, a map where nobody should know who is NPC and who is Player.

    another Problem:

    Is there a way to change the color of a single unit by trigger? I only find the option to change the teamcolor of that unit.

    i found a solution to make make the unit unclickable, but thats not what i want. I just want to remove the red ring when cursor is over enemy unit.

    i need this really bad for my map. its essential!

    I want to remove everything what tell a player if the unit ist mate or enemy. The mousecursor change to attack and the red circle around the unit, just everything. Just the naked unit should stay at end.

    edit: ok every unit in the map gets created by trigger, so i can set after every create the highlightingcursor. first step done.

    When the cursor is over a enemy unit, there is a red circle. where to remove it? Data? trigger order?

    Dont call the maps shit! Dessert Strike and Co. is shit, stupidly up there and everyone just plays it on and on because its there and its playable without waitingtime.
    i usually hate the most casual mainstream things, but first page will always represent the mainstream kiddis! page 1 is not that much better than page 3or4!

    I have a strange bug. Wanted to make my second weapon, a M16 with hydralisk needles as projektile. Worked fine so far but they shoot in wrong direction. Exact the angle you aim forward it fires out his backside. I compared it several times with the tutorial, what change could bring me this problem?

    In the map, just start, leftklick is the fine working rocket, rightklick the buggy M16.

    thx guys! works real fine!

    but for the 100% is one little thing missing:

    my units facing angle is permanent oriented to the crosshair in the middle. sometimes when i want to shoot he dont do it because he stands a little in the wrong direction. i added a actor direct infront of the ability order to adjust the facing angle, this made it much better but its not gone.

    i need a dataeditor option to set, that the unit dont have to watch in the direction of target to cast.

    There is still the problem when i go to: order unit to use ability to a target point or any other versions of ability i cant find my "rocket1" ability in the list. Its not there!

    To get the coordinates of the klick seems very usefull.

    But i have still the problem, that i cant find the abillity in the triggereditor. Its a effekt-target-abillity. I gave it to a unit (tychus) and it works fine per button. When i start the effekt at the point of my unit, the shoot works fine, but i cant aim it then. It just fire straight downward then.

    I attached the map. the abillity and all effekts are called rocket1. Tychus got the ability on him to test it.
